Appears in | Super Mario Party Jamboree |
Type | Showdown minigame |
Yoshi's Mountain Race is a Showdown minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. It is centered around Yoshi, and it has four players racing against each other on several colored Yoshis. Like other Showdown minigames, it cannot be played in the Mario Party mode if Yoshi is an active player character, though he can still be used in this minigame in Minigame Bay modes.
Gameplay[edit]
This minigame has four players racing against each other on blue, pink, yellow, and red Yoshis (respectively in player order) through a long mountain course. If Yoshi is participating, he rides a Yoshi himself. Crates, barrels, Biddybuds, and Piranha Plants serve as obstacles to slow the players down upon collision with them. The Yoshis have the ability to flutter-jump for extra height and distance during a jump. Fruits are also scattered around the course for the players' Yoshis to eat for a short speed boost.
In the Mario Party mode, the player who encountered Yoshi on the board first to trigger the minigame has three fruits placed in front of them at the start as an advantage, though these can still be eaten by the other players.[1]
The player who crosses the finish line at the top of the mountain first wins the minigame and receives Yoshi as a Jamboree Buddy.

Trivia[edit]
