Hot Shots is a 4-Player and Duel minigame in Mario Party DS. Its name is a term used for self-assured and successful people.

Gameplay[edit]

The player must use the Touch Screen to aim the match at the faces of Bowser or Kamek. Shooting Bowser gives the player 100 points, and shooting Kamek gives 20 points. Toadette targets appear in this minigame, and hitting her deducts 30 points from the player's score. The player also receives bonus points for consecutive shots without missing, shooting Toadette targets, or shooting an empty target. At the end, the player with the most points wins the minigame. If everyone has the same number of points, the minigame ends in a tie.

As with other minigames with a record system, if everyone gets the same score while breaking the current record, it counts as a new record even though no one won, as the screen says "Tie" after the "New Record" fanfare.

Ending[edit]

Victorious characters perform their winning poses on a giant golden arrow coin, while losers do losing poses on the green grass.

Controls[edit]

  • Stylus – Draw and aim
