Rabbid Rosalina is a Rabbid character that appears in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope as one of the main characters of the game. She shares most traits with her namesake, Rosalina, but instead of a wand, Rabbid Rosalina wields the Kaboomer,[3] a Spark plush with a pull string and a cannon in its mouth, which behaves similarly to Yoshi's and Rabbid Yoshi's Rumblebangs from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. It is able to obliterate covers. Her Technique is Ennui, which puts enemies to sleep similar to Rabbid Cranky's Long Story. She can also unlock a Dash that can activate this effect.[4] An arrangement of "Rosalina in the Observatory" theme from Super Mario Galaxy can be heard during Rabbid Rosalina's first appearance in the trailer for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.[5] Rabbid Rosalina joins the heroes at the start of the Midnite Library battle on Pristine Peaks.
History[edit]
Background[edit]
Based on her Memory profile, Rabbid Rosalina was created during the basement incident from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, having been created by Spawny using the SupaMerge Headset. Based on murals found throughout the Winter Palace, Captain Orion had saved her from Cursa, and they both cared very much for each other. Their ship crash landed in Pristine Peaks, and Rabbid Rosalina wandered inside the Winter Palace, where she was captured by Midnite, one of Cursa's Spark Hunters.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]
After the heroes clear the first Darkmess Tentacle in Pristine Peaks, they find the Winter Palace, along with a frozen Captain Orion at the entrance. Upon being thawed out, Captain Orion tasks the heroes to save "the girl", who is later revealed to be Rabbid Rosalina. They find her inside the Winter Palace, and defeat her kidnapper Midnite. Rabbid Rosalina is saved, and Captain Orion tasks her to join the heroes on their adventure, to which she agrees to, hoping to make him proud. She joins the heroes and helps them out on their adventure.
Upon arriving at Barrendale Mesa, an electric storm caused by a Darkmess Tentacle makes it too dangerous for the WM ARC to land. The heroes then proceed to jump out to reach to the ground, with Rabbid Rosalina grabbing onto Bowser as they fall. Once at the ground, the group encounters the warden of the planet, Momma. Rabbid Rosalina politely requests her help to defeat Cursa, but because of the electric storm, the windmill is malfunctioning, and so the power is out at her garage. After the heroes stop the electrical storm and defeat Daphne, Rosalina briefly breaks free from Cursa, which makes Rabbid Rosalina very happy, but is quickly reversed when Cursa retakes Rosalina. Mario encourages Rabbid Rosalina to escape with everyone else, but she does not want to leave, forcing Mario to carry her to safety. After escaping Cursa, the heroes find a crystal, which Rabbid Rosalina believes that it was a message from Rosalina, and that she knew that the heroes would save her. Rabbid Rosalina then becomes more determined than ever to save Rosalina from Cursa.
Upon landing at Cursa's stronghold, Rabbid Rosalina shows great determination to stop Cursa and save Rosalina. After Rosalina fully breaks free from Cursa during the battle, Rabbid Rosalina becomes overjoyed to see her finally break free. After Cursa is defeated for good, Rabbid Rosalina steps in to lead the heroes to stop Cursa once and for all. Back at the Mushroom Kingdom, Rosalina offers an opportunity for Rabbid Rosalina to stay with her, but Rabbid Rosalina decides to stay with the heroes instead, declaring that they are her family.
The Last Spark Hunter[edit]
In the The Last Spark Hunter DLC, Beep-0 makes the last minute decision to change route from Cursa's stronghold to the Melodic Gardens after learning that the planet has gone silent. This upsets Rabbid Rosalina, who wants to save Rosalina from Cursa. Beep-0 reassures her that they will get back to Cursa's stronghold as soon as possible. Despite this, Rabbid Rosalina joins the heroes on their quest to save the Melodic Gardens. After the Melodic Gardens have been saved, Rabbid Peach dances with Mario while the others watch, with Rabbid Luigi holding Rabbid Rosalina's hand.
Rayman in the Phantom Show[edit]
Rabbid Rosalina makes a small cameo in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC, where she, along with the other heroes (with the exception of Bowser) see Rayman's gift to Rabbid Peach and Rabbid Mario - a copy of his hoodie.
General information[edit]
Personality[edit]
Unlike her human counterpart, Rabbid Rosalina is lazy, as seen in the cinematic trailer for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Compared to other Rabbids, who are usually mischievous and hyperactive, she is a rather apathetic Rabbid,[5] as reflected in her monotone voice.[6] While she seems to have no interest in battling, her profile from the official Ubisoft website states that she is smart and ready to battle alongside her friends. Despite her gloomy nature, she also idolizes Rosalina and is ecstatic upon seeing her in person. She is even willing to do whatever it takes to help or protect her hero.
Powers and abilities[edit]
Movement[edit]
In battle, Rabbid Rosalina has above average movement, with both her base movement and glide time having upgrades in the Movement branch of her Skill Tree. She only has one Dash, although it can be upgraded to deal up to 80% more damage than normal. The "Ennui Dash" upgrade allows Rabbid Rosalina to inflict the Stasis Super Effect by Dashing at enemies. The "Wakeup Slap" and "Ennui Duration" upgrades from the Technique branch of Rabbid Rosalina's Skill Tree are shared with Ennui Dash.
Weapon[edit]
Rabbid Rosalina's weapon is the Kaboomer. It is a Spark plush on a stick with a pull string that fires several projectiles at a single enemy at short range, damaging and destroying any destructible cover in the way. Each individual projectile does weak damage, but the combined damage is rather high. The range and critical hit chance can be upgraded in the Weapon branch of Rabbid Rosalina's Skill Tree, with the critical hit chance upgrade having three upgrades instead of two like the other heroes have. The amount of projectiles fired from the Kaboomer can be increased as well. The "Heat Up" upgrade deals an additional 5% of damage to an enemy for each projectile, allowing the total damage to be even higher.
Technique[edit]
Rabbid Rosalina's Technique is Ennui, which inflicts the Stasis Super Effect to all enemies in range for one turn, preventing them from doing anything until either attacked or after the duration ends. In the Technique branch of Rabbid Rosalina's Skill Tree, there are upgrades to reduce the cooldown by one turn and to increase the range of the Technique. The "Ennui Duration" upgrade increases the duration of Ennui to two turns, and the "Wakeup Slap" upgrade causes enemies to take 30% more damage from all sources while they are in Stasis. Ennui has a cooldown of five turns, the most out of any Technique in the game.
Relationships with other characters[edit]
Inside the Winter Palace, at the library, Rabbid Rosalina works alongside Rabbid Peach to cleanse a Darkmess Puddle, as Rabbid Rosalina wants to protect the library. Upon landing in Barrendale Mesa, Rabbid Peach holds out her hand for Rabbid Rosalina to sluggishly high five her. In the game's cinematic launch trailer, Rabbid Peach takes a selfie with Rabbid Rosalina.
Rabbid Rosalina cares deeply for Captain Orion, as he saved her from Cursa. When the heroes arrive to save her, Captain Orion rushes to rescue her, but he is captured by Midnite. Angry, Rabbid Rosalina joins forces with the other heroes to defeat Midnite. After Midnite is defeated, Captain Orion becomes free and hugs Rabbid Rosalina. Captain Orion then tasks Rabbid Rosalina to join the heroes on their adventure, which she agrees to, hoping to find Rosalina in the process.
Rabbid Rosalina idolizes Rosalina, and therefore despises Cursa as it took control over Rosalina. When Rosalina temporarily breaks free from Cursa in Barrendale Mesa, Rabbid Rosalina becomes overjoyed to see her, but once Cursa regains control she becomes distraught. After seeing the crystal, Rabbid Rosalina becomes more determined than ever to save her idol. This determination continues throughout Cursa's stronghold, and during the battle against Cursa. After Rosalina fully breaks free from Cursa, Rabbid Rosalina becomes excited again, but upon seeing Cursa again she becomes furious. After the third phase of the battle against Cursa, Rosalina steps in to lead and protect the others against Cursa. After Cursa's defeat, the heroes return to the Mushroom Kingdom, where Rosalina offers her Rabbid counterpart an opportunity to stay with her. Rabbid Rosalina declines, declaring that the heroes are her family.

Memory bio[edit]
- RABBID ROSALINA
Analysis, data, evidence - these allow AI's such as myself to look beyond the surface. Still, Rabbid Rosalina defies my expectations. She is lethargic, jaded, cynical, and perpetually annoyed, but woe to the bioform that gets between her and someone she loves, especially if that someone is Rosalina, her idol.
Born of the famous basement incident, rescued by Orion, she is now one of us.
Quotes[edit]
- "Ugh... Seriously? I don't have time! I need to find a way to get to Rosalina ."
- "Captain Orion? Thank you... for everything. I promise to make you proud."
- "R-Rosalina saved us! That crystal is proof of her bravery. But WHY is she a prisoner inside that - that THING?!"
- "What are we waiting for?! WE'RE HERE, ROSALINA! WE'RE HERE!"
- "They're weird, and they annoy me sometimes, but I love them."
