Arich hangs from a thread of web, and to defeat him, [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] must throw [[Barrel]]s at his jaw. Arich's attacks consist of bouncing up and down in an attempt to crush the [[Kong]]s, and shooting bouncing green balls of venom. He must be hit in the jaw four times to be defeated. It's easier to hit Arich with Dixie because she holds the barrel over her head with her ponytail.

Arich is a giant red spider and a boss in both Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Its name is derived from "arachnid," a classification term used to describe spiders.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble![edit]

Arich is the second boss of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is fought in the boss stage Arich's Ambush at the end of Kremwood Forest, though its name is also featured in the world's secret cave, Arich's Hoard. Arich hangs from a thread of web throughout the battle. Arich can take damage from hitting his jaw with a barrel.[2] Arich bounces up and down through the battle and also spits green balls. After a third hit, Arich is defeated, landing over onto its back and dropping the patch required for Funky Kong to finish the Hover Craft.

In the remake, Arich has a different battle theme than the other bosses. It shares this theme with Kroctopus.

Donkey Kong Land III[edit]

Arich is the third boss of Donkey Kong Land III instead. It is fought in the boss stage, Arich Attack, at the end of Blackforest Plateau. Arich is much smaller, and its environment is similar as before. Arich first spits out three balls of venom. Arich now receives damage from being jumped on.[3] Following each hit, Arich bounces around faster than before, intended to increase the difficulty. After four hits, Arich is defeated.
