- “Vampgeddon: But beware those creatures ! They can create small pools of poisonous Darkmess . I've never seen anything like it!
Beep-0: We've never seen that before, either. Better use the Tacticam to find out more about this new foe.” - —Vampgeddon and Beep-0, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Fieldbreakers are large, rotund Rabbid enemies covered in Darkmess that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, specifically in the The Last Spark Hunter DLC and the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC. In the former, they first appear in the Missing Musicians battle on the Melodic Gardens, and in the latter, they appear in the All Hands Ahoy! and Burnin' Rock battles. Their appearance is similar to that of a Buckler from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. They have a cannon on their right arm.
In battle, Fieldbreakers prioritize getting into the right spot to attack heroes directly, rather than hiding for cover. They attack by firing a single projectile at a hero within medium range, which destroys destructible cover in one shot, and ignores partial cover. They also have the ability to cause Darkmess Ponds to rain down around them on the battlefield, damaging heroes when they step in them, as well as if they land on them. Enemies are not affected by the Darkmess Ponds, and Fieldbreakers can use the ability every turn, no matter how far away the heroes are. Summoned Darkmess Ponds only last for one turn. Fieldbreakers are also resistant to all Super Effects.

Tacticam analysis[edit]
FIELDBREAKER |
---|
Controls areas of the battlefield by creating Darkmess Ponds on the ground which damage opponents who step on them. |
RESIST |
BURN FROSTBITE OOZE SHOCK SPLASH GUST |
Location(s) |
Melodic Gardens Space Opera Network |
- Darkmess Disruptor
- Medium-range attack. Fires one projectile with a curved trajectory at a single target. Ignores partial cover.
- Darkmess Rain
- Summons rain that creates Darkmess Ponds on the battlefield, damaging targets on contact or at the start of their turn.
Memory bio[edit]
- FIELDBREAKER
We have encountered a multitude of formidable foes to whom Cursa has given all manner of twisted abilities - though that is not what concerns me most about these foes in particular. To be sure, the Technique that creates small Darkmess Ponds is direful, and they have no specific weaknesses, but I detect something else - someone has altered its Darkmess-infused DNA post-creation, long AFTER Cursa. Who? And why?
