Straight outta Brooklyn, Mario and Luigi
| |||
Chill, sit back, and take things easy
| |||
The brothers are rolling, cool like a breeze
| |||
In T-shirts, hats, and dungarees
| |||
Plumbers of the highest grade
| |||
You got water trouble? Well, that's their trade
| |||
So winter or summer, forget all the others
| |||
And just call the Super Mario Brothers
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
No problem too big, no problem too small
| |||
Just give the Super Mario Brothers a call
| |||
365, right around the clock
| |||
Showers, bath, or your whatnots
| |||
Modesty aside, end the shop-talking
| |||
Let your fingers do the walking
| |||
Winter or summer, forget all the others
| |||
Just call the Super Mario Brothers
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
There ain't a problem that we can't fix
| |||
With the tools in our toolkits
| |||
Boilers or burst water mains
| |||
Overflowing drains that stink in the rain
| |||
Central heating, attic lagging
| |||
Is your water level sagging?
| |||
Winter or summer, forget all the others
| |||
And just call the Super Mario Brothers
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
| |||
(Just call us) | |||

Yo, check this out
| |||

Welcome, and enter the center
| |||
Of my Super Mario adventure
| |||
A girl is trapped on the other side of town
| |||
So I'm moving in leaps and bounds
| |||
Folks around my way think I'm strange
| |||
But there's a villain to blame
| |||
Even my ma, she thinks I'm crazy
| |||
But I've got to rescue Daisy
| |||
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
| |||
You now have two minutes
| |||
Well, I'm back off my Lisa Stansfield trip
| |||
And I'm rejuvenated and I'm remixed
| |||
I took planes, trains, and automobiles
| |||
And for real, got ill in Brazil
| |||
I'm the Wizard of Oz while on tour
| |||
And got poor in Singapore
| |||
And I'm eatin' sushi in Japan,
But there ain't no place like Super Mario Land
| |||
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
| |||
There is now one minute left
| |||
(Check this out)
| |||
She's my lady, my pride and joy
| |||
'Cause to her I'm a hero, not a toy boy
| |||
So I'm climbing mountains and swinging through trees
| |||
And even facing killer bees
| |||
Down secret tunnels in dark rooms
| |||
Met with the creature from the Blue Lagoon
| |||
Folks out there might think that I'm crazy
| |||
But I've got to rescue Daisy
| |||
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
| |||
Stand by for the final countdown
| |||
See, she's doomed, there's no sunshine
| |||
To make a wish or click my heels three times
| |||
And I'm gathering coins like Indiana Jones
| |||
So one day we can make a happy home
| |||
So I'm ducking, diving, bobbing, and weaving
| |||
But I sure ain't leaving
| |||
Get with the program, come join the man
| |||
'Cause there ain't no place like Super Mario Land | |||

Super Mario Compact Disco is an album originally released only in Japan on August 1, 1993. The album's title is a pun on both "compact disc" and "disco." The album features a collection of rap remixes of music from games in the Super Mario franchise performed by Simon Harris under the moniker "Ambassadors of Funk." In between raps, the main rapper, calling himself M.C. Mario, provides interstitials, as if running a radio show. The album was later made available in the United States through iTunes,[2] in addition to Amazon as an MP3 album or a manufacture-on-demand CD.[3]
For the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary, a special edition of the album titled Super Mario Compact Disco – 35th Anniversary Edition was released, featuring remastered tracks and five bonus tracks.[4]

Lyrics[edit]
"Opening Credits"[edit]
Ladies and gentlemen
At this time I have the honor to present to you
The king
Super Mario
I know you gonna...
[?] make the [?] go crazy
Hit it
Now come
Hit it
"Supermario Brothers Theme"[edit]
Straight outta Brooklyn, Mario and Luigi
Chill, sit back, and take things easy
The brothers are rolling, cool like a breeze
In T-shirts, hats, and dungarees
Plumbers of the highest grade
You got water trouble? Well, that's their trade
So winter or summer, forget all the others
And just call the Super Mario Brothers
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
No problem too big, no problem too small
Just give the Super Mario Brothers a call
365, right around the clock
Showers, bath, or your whatnots
Modesty aside, end the shop-talking
Let your fingers do the walking
Winter or summer, forget all the others
Just call the Super Mario Brothers
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
There ain't a problem that we can't fix
With the tools in our toolkits
Boilers or burst water mains
Overflowing drains that stink in the rain
Central heating, attic lagging
Is your water level sagging?
Winter or summer, forget all the others
And just call the Super Mario Brothers
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call the Super Mario Brothers)
(Just call us)
"Radio Compact Disco 1"[edit]
Yo, check this out
You're in tune with Radio Compact Disco
24 hours a day
Brand new, I'm pumping out super-dope sounds in the Mushroom World
To tune in, just put the CD in and press play
I'm M.C. Mario, super-fine with a jump and a spin
"Supermarioland"[edit]
Welcome, and enter the center
Of my Super Mario adventure
A girl is trapped on the other side of town
So I'm moving in leaps and bounds
Folks around my way think I'm strange
But there's a villain to blame
Even my ma, she thinks I'm crazy
But I've got to rescue Daisy
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
You now have two minutes
Well, I'm back off my Lisa Stansfield trip
And I'm rejuvenated and I'm remixed
I took planes, trains, and automobiles
And for real, got ill in Brazil
I'm the Wizard of Oz while on tour
And got poor in Singapore
And I'm eatin' sushi in Japan,
But there ain't no place like Super Mario Land
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
There is now one minute left
(Check this out)
She's my lady, my pride and joy
'Cause to her I'm a hero, not a toy boy
So I'm climbing mountains and swinging through trees
And even facing killer bees
Down secret tunnels in dark rooms
Met with the creature from the Blue Lagoon
Folks out there might think that I'm crazy
But I've got to rescue Daisy
(There ain't no place like Super Mario Land)
Stand by for the final countdown
See, she's doomed, there's no sunshine
To make a wish or click my heels three times
And I'm gathering coins like Indiana Jones
So one day we can make a happy home
So I'm ducking, diving, bobbing, and weaving
But I sure ain't leaving
Get with the program, come join the man
'Cause there ain't no place like Super Mario Land
"Radio Compact Disco 2"[edit]
Well, there you go
Super Mario Land, there's no place like it
You can call me anytime you got problems
You're in check with Radio Compact Disco
24 hours a day, and it don't stop there
Super Mario Land's a big place
Coming up next from Koopa the Bad Boy Brother 31, "Go, Mario, Go!"
"Go, Mario, Go!"[edit]
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Mario!

Now Mario's the name, adventure's the game
And now you know just why I came
I'm the super, duper, with a booter
For the paratroopa of the evil Koopa
The do or die, super fly guy
And now I got me a battle cry
And since you all know who's the star of the show
Well, let me hear you say, "Go, Mario, go!"
Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Go! Mario!

Now I first came along with Donkey Kong
And that's way, way back in '81
In '83 came Luigi
In a game of my own to hook up with me
Now I'm on your screens, I got a brand-new song
Learn the words, sing along
Since you all know who's the star of the show
Well, let me hear you say, "Go, Mario, go!"
Faster than a speeding bullet
More powerful than a locomotive
Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go!
Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Mario!

Go! Go! Go! Mario!
Go! Go! Go! Go!
Now I've crossed the mountains and skies above
All because the lady loves
So, ciao, Bella, señorita
Mario's on his way and he's coming to meet ya
Bring 'em all, bring along, bring the whole gang
And let 'em try to stop me if they can
But since you all know who's the star of the show
Well, let me hear you say, "Go, Mario, go!"
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!
Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Mario!

"King of the Koopas - Supermario Brothers 3"[edit]
Now in your NES, at its best
Mario Bros. 3 is fresh
8-bit and packed with a boom
And you're off to the kingdom of the Magic Mushroom
So get with the flow and act like you know
Or you may as well be playing bingo
'Cause it's official, 'cause every test that passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
Now fly, swing, jump, or climb
With the bestselling game of all time
You got so many heroes from coast to coast
But then, Superman won't even come close
So for Koopa and his villainous crews
I ain't got nothing except for bad news
'Cause it's official, and every test that passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
Now even our hero has his dream
To rescue the princess and make her a queen
But nobody knows where the north wind blows
Maybe it's somewhere over the rainbow
We can set up home fit for a saint
And do it over in Mario Paint
'Cause it's official, and every test it passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
"Radio Compact Disco 3"[edit]
Here's today's special guest on Radio Compact Disco
He's a popular guy, a V.I.P. dinosaur, and he eats apples
Yo, it's Yoshi
[Yoshi sound 1]
Come again, bad boy?
[Yoshi sound 1]
You say you're surprised to be on the show?
[Yoshi sound 1]
[Yoshi sound 2]
Well, hey, you're a hero, man!
[Yoshi sound 2]
OK, man, you wanna play your own game?
The one with the eggs?
Let's do it, man, hit the switch
"Mario & Yoshi"[edit]
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
Yoshi!
"Supermarioworld"[edit]
From the number-one game show
The number-one game show host
And I'm talking like coast to coast
So good morning, good evening, good afternoon
The Mario saga is back with a boom
So on your mark, get ready and get set
And say "Hi" to new and old threats
'Cause all he gotta do is rescue the girl
So welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
(So why is it gotta be so damn tough?)
Enter the Dragon Land at level 97
It's like gateway to Heaven
Chocolate, cookies, donut, vanilla
And I think we're set for a thriller
Grab Yoshi, Luigi, your magic cape and break
And make for the tape
'Cause all you gotta do is rescue the girl
So welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
(So why is it gotta be so damn tough?)
OK, troopers, how much fun can you handle?
We'll cancel the scandal
'Cause this time around the action's quicker,
Slicker, and much, much thicker
Bowser's returned with the Sumo Brothers
Charging Chucks, and others
Well, all you gotta do is rescue the girl
So welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
(So why is it gotta be so damn tough?)
Now roll up, hold up, one and all
Come on, let's have a ball
Ghost Houses and shipwrecks
It's the trip of a lifetime you'll never forget
To fly high, high, high, like inflation
What a way to spend a vacation
All you gotta do is rescue the girl
So welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
Welcome to Super Mario World
"Radio Compact Disco 4"[edit]
Well, alright, and Super Mario World is the biggest place
At least I rescued Daisy
Me and the Princess go way back to the first time I turned on the charm
And if you don't believe me, why don't you ask her yourself?
"Save Me (With Your Charm) - Princess Theme"[edit]
Yo, this is Princess Daisy
You're listening to Super Mario Compact Disco
Kick it!
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Yes, this is Mario Land
Super Mario the hero and Princess Daisy
A fine young lady
Rescue her, not maybe
But yes from the Koopa Troopa
Donkey Kong, Kinopio, yo
Hammer Bros. on a mission of harm
Save me with your charm
Oh, Mario
Oh
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Inside pipes, triple heights
To rescue me from parasites
It's annoying, so he destroys them
Drops the shell and kicks them into coins
Then he chills, leaves them ill
Picks up Daisy, the fine young lady
No one can do me no harm
'Cause Mario's got the charm
Oh, Mario
Oh
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Oh, Mario
Oh, oh
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Through the trees, oceans, and woods
I know he'd save me if he could
He's the man of my dreams
True love, at least it seems
If he lost his final life
I'm so scared I won't be his wife
I feel so safe within his arms
Oh, Mario, save me with your charm
Oh, Mario
Oh
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Save me with your charm
Oh
Oh
"Radio Compact Disco 5"[edit]
...And she is definitely my number-one girl
24 hours a day, this is Radio Compact Disco in the Mushroom World
And I'm M.C. Mario on the drive-time show
"Supermariokart"[edit]
Fasten seatbelts, hold tight
And believe the hype
Mario Kart has the wheels of steel
And more tricks than the Batmobile
The roughest thing out on the street
Pumping the magic beat
Mario Kart, it ain't no joke
Adiós, see ya later, and eat smoke
On your marks, get set, and we're off
This race ain't for the soft
Tarmac, lava, and ice
Nigel Mansell; think twice
100cc out-burner
With no mercy for a learner
Mario Kart, it ain't no joke
Adiós, see ya later, and eat smoke
Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road
Throw your weapons at your foe
Starsky & Hutch can't get no looser
Officer don't give me producer
This race is fast and furious
Who ain't with it, ride the bus
Mario Kart, it ain't no joke
Adiós, see ya later, and eat smoke
"Supermario USA"[edit]
Live from the land of hope and glory
You know the name and this is my story
Born and raised in the streets of Italy
My father was a plumber and taught it to me
I love watching boxing on the main feature
But nothing beats Mama's pasta and pizzas
So here we are, what more can I say?
Super Mario in the U.S. of A
Now I set up in business with my brother, Luigi
Plumbings our trade, and to us it's easy
We started having trouble back in '81
When I first ran into Donkey Kong
So to help me to relax and to keep in trim
I work on tennis and my golf swing
So here we are, what more can I say?
Super Mario in the U.S. of A
Now check the last verse of our little review
Right here in the land where dreams come true
So as the right of every resident
Maybe one day Mario for president
Princess Daisy and Princess Peach
Well, of course, I've got a job for them each
So here we are, what more can I say?
Super Mario in the U.S. of A
"Radio Compact Disco 6"[edit]
You're in tune with M.C. Mario and it's getting late
And now you know more about my life than I do
I'm like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde; Mario and Wario
And that guy first appeared when I had to go get those six golden coins
"Six Golden Coins"[edit]
Here we are, Super Mario Land number two
Grab six coins, you're through
To face Wario in his castle
My alter ego and evil rascal
He's got the princess bound up as captive
And anyway you check it, it's unattractive
So on and on the story unfolds
On the search for those six pieces of gold
Now Turtle, Pumpkin, just to name a few
Of the zones you got to pass through
So hop to Hippo level, and grab a bubble
Go outer space on the double
But while you're swimming, beware of sharks
'Cause there's villains out there to tear you apart
On and on the story unfolds
On the search for those six pieces of gold
Now bonus levels are packed with gifts
Power-up, extra life, it's hit and pick
Armored with fireballs, be well prepared
But better yet, grab those bunny ears
Fight against witches and dirty rats
And you can stomp the other bosses when they attack
On and on the story unfolds
On the search for those six pieces of gold
"Radio Compact Disco 7"[edit]
That's the end of our first show on Radio Compact Disco
Number one in the Mushroom World
And don't forget;
To tune in, all you gotta do is put the CD in and press play
So until the next time...
