The SUPER MARIO BROS. 25th Anniversary Special Sound Track PRESS START Edition is an arrangement album included in the Super Mario 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book「スーパーマリオ25周年記念ブック」published by Enterbrain, Inc. The commemorative book was released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. and featured an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto; it also contained numerous other Super Mario-related articles and content.[3]
The album features three arrangements of various Super Mario songs originating from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The arrangements were orchestrated live at PRESS START concerts in Japan and were performed by the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra and Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.[2][4] The Super Mario 25th Anniversary Commemorative Book and bundled SUPER MARIO BROS. 25th Anniversary Special Sound Track PRESS START Edition album were released in Japan for ¥840 JPY on December 9, 2010.[3]
