Fire Blocks are a variety of blocks found in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. They are the same as Pink Blocks, but they have another use. If there is wood and the player picks up red blocks, a red glow will be in the background. When the player touches the screen, a fire ball appears instead of the usual Stars. At this time, the player can burn wood once. The player has to keep in mind that if any Mini Marios are touching the wood while it is being burnt, they will also be burned. They are mainly seen in the Lava Dome and can be used in that kit, the Special Kit 2 and the Special Kit 3.

Empty Fire Blocks

Fire Blocks are a type of Color Block from Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, found mainly in the Lava Dome. Similarly to Pink Blocks, Fire Blocks can be picked up by tapping active Fire Blocks with the stylus. If the player has enough Fire Blocks stored, they can also be placed in red dotted outlines to turn them into active Fire Blocks.

If the player picks up active Fire Blocks, a mode is activated which causes the screen to glow orange and all melodies in the level's theme to be muted, leaving only the theme's percussion. During this mode, if the player touches the Touch Screen, a Fireball appears, replacing the standard in-game cursor of small spark particles. This Fireball allows the player to burn logs by moving the Fireball over them, opening previously inaccessible areas. Burning logs does not consume any Fire Blocks. Minis can still be started, directed, and stopped in this mode; however, if a Mini touches a log while it is being burnt, the Mini is burned and destroyed. After the Fireball touches a log, it disappears and the game returns to its default mode. The game also resumes its default mode if the Fire Blocks are placed back into red dotted outlines.

In the Construction Zone, Fire Blocks can be used in the Lava Dome construction kit, Special Kit 2, and Special Kit 3.
