==Possible security hole question==
I would usually post these types of questions on the Main Page, but for anti-troll reasons I'll post it here where there's somewhat less traffic. Earlier, I was messing around on the MarioWiki when I came upon [[Special:PasswordReset|this page]]. Obviously, I'm not testing it out, but it appears that could reset ''anyone's'' password (not just yourself), given that you know their username. Of course, the new password would be sent straight to the targeted user's email, but until the targeted user figures that out, they could potentially be locked out. Is this possible? --[[User:Andymii|Andymii]] ([[User talk:Andymii|talk]]) 23:02, 11 June 2015 (EDT) | I would usually post these types of questions on the Main Page, but for anti-troll reasons I'll post it here where there's somewhat less traffic. From what Glowsquid's adding, the amount of Mario content seems limited to small cameo appearances, mostly assorted characters appearing in the background. Punch-Out has Little Mac directly fighting against DK, and Starfy has Wario directly aiding him, so it doesn't really strike me as being on the same level. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} | From what Glowsquid's adding, the amount of Mario content seems limited to small cameo appearances, mostly assorted characters appearing in the background. The word "bar" never shows up in the ''Super Paper Mario'' script at all, not to mention that it's improper use of the term since neither establishment serves alcoholic beverages as far as the game is concerned. Why call them something that they're not? :There are plenty of types of bars that serve non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee and milk bars, as well as juice bars and even soup bars. Meanwhile, "beveragarium" appears to be a made-up word: Googling it yields almost exclusively SPM-related results, and even if it's real, it's still so obscure, we are far more likely to confuse or at least perturb readers by using it as the identifier. It doesn't matter if it doesn't appear in the game: is [[Chap (blue)]] ever called "that blue guy"? Probably not, but the identifier makes sense, and it's not being billed as part of the canon name anyway, so we use it. And "bar" makes sense here too: these establishments are clearly modeled after bars (with bartenders and regulars and everything), they just serve other stuff instead of alcohol (for obvious reasons), which the articles clearly state, so we're hardly misleading anyone. Why call them some terrible, obscure jargon when we have a nice, simple word that works perfectly well? This is one of the many cases where the wiki's ability to use discretion and judgement is a good thing. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 16:59, 26 July 2015 (EDT) | :There are plenty of types of bars that serve non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee and milk bars, as well as juice bars and even soup bars. ::::Good to know: I have a few non-booze "bars" around where I live too. I also asked my boss when he phoned me a short while ago for a second (now third) opinion, and he says "bar" seems like a general word for a place people hang out (whereas something like "tavern" ''does'' seem alcohol-only). Anyway, I feel very strongly that these names make sense, and that it's better that the two places use the same qualifier (like, I kept forgetting which one was milk and which one was coffee, and consistency looks good, like the two colourful [[Chap (green)|Chap]]s); plus, it's best to avoid unnecessary accented words as not all devices can easily type them. :::Oh right, sorry. I'm juggling like five things at the moment and had a brain fart (I even looked at the template and unsuccessfully searched MW:NAV for it, and still didn't register). Yeah, it's the space thing and should be used on top of all templates, except for when something's already regulating spacing - e.g. if {{tem|stub}} is in use, it's got its own clear function so no need for BoxTop. I also don't put it in situations where {{tem|NIWA}} is nested beside a small number of external links or references ([[Link#References|example]]), or on small pages where the infobox far exceeds the length of the text eben on small screen resolutions, since then the NIWA/infobox itself ensures there's some blank space between the text and the nav templates, while also forming a continuous block with the nav templates, which I think looks better than when there's a space. (But if the references will go beyond the height of the NIWA template, BoxTop should be used, because then some blank space is necessary.) But it's not really regulated either way, or high priority for fixing: if when you're going around editing and you see <nowiki><br clear=all></nowiki> in use above nav templates, or nothing being used and text coming right down on top of the templates, then add it, but otherwise, best to busy yourself with content-based maintenance work. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 15:57, 6 August 2015 (EDT) | :::Oh right, sorry. Was noticing you were revamping some of the infoboxes for some of the Mario RPGs, and saw that the "Item 2 Drop" variable was being left out for the ''Superstar Saga'' one... Some enemies in that game can drop two different types of items, some obtained normally and rarer kinds gotten from the Advance version of Swing Bros. or from equipping the GameBoy Horror SP (Morton will always drop a Max Nut, but if equipped with the Game Boy Horror SP, he'll drop a Bowser Fist instead). Would all that stuff be combined into one variable this time, or would they be separate? | Was noticing you were revamping some of the infoboxes for some of the Mario RPGs, and saw that the "Item 2 Drop" variable was being left out for the ''Superstar Saga'' one... Also, for ''The Thousand-Year Door'', enemies have [http://www.mariowiki.com/images/c/c7/Pm2enemystats.png many variables] that should be listed in the infobox (such as amount of coins dropped, their chances of getting afflicted with a status ailment, etc.). :Yeah, both items would just go in a single Item Drop variable: it simplifies things, uses space more efficiently in the vertical form of the infoboxes, and is the only way the horizontal version is easily balanced. I was planning on splitting the PM and PM2 infoboxes because they'll need completely different designs in order to look presentable in horizontal mode, the horizontal/vertical switching function is complex enough without needing to worry about the PM/PM2 variable on top of that, and all the other RPGs have unique infoboxes, so why not the first two PM games, I say - it'll be more consistent. If a hellish amount of non-overlapping stats need to be added to both the PM and PM2 boxes, all the more reason to split them. If you give me a list (bullet form, nothing fancy) of the extra variables both will need (and explanations for the hover-over text, M&L:SS-style), I'll try to add them into my worked examples, but after tomorrow I'll be really busy with RL work for at least two weeks, so the proposal to upgrade the infoboxes won't even be launched until the second week of October at the earliest. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 20:59, 19 September 2015 (EDT) | :Yeah, both items would just go in a single Item Drop variable: it simplifies things, uses space more efficiently in the vertical form of the infoboxes, and is the only way the horizontal version is easily balanced. :::Thanks. I'm combining the min and max coins, and found [https://supermariofiles.wordpress.com/2013/02/28/paper-mario-ttyd-stats/ this] that explains the "Ex%", so I figure that could also just go in the coins, so show the amounts of coins with the % chance of getting each one, rather than readers needing to do the horrible math themselves (plus it saves on rows/boxes, which is a good thing). I'd also say for the item drop chart there, just show the %s rather than over-using the hover-over bsns and showing the /200 and /300 stuff, which will just confuse people. How many items/badges do enemies usually hold? I've told him to seriously cut it out, especially since he has been accumulating a large pile of warnings and reminders while showing no improvement whatsoever, but I have no power beyond that. Thanks. {{User:Bazooka Mario/sig}} 19:44, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
:Thanks for the heads up, but I've actually just banned him for that. He should have been kicked out earlier, but people keep giving him extra warnings despite him already getting a Last Warning, instead of alerting an admin to give him the proper level of punishment (i.e. a block). This actually happens a lot in general, and it's frustrating. The fact that you already gave him an informal warning actually makes this block awkward too, but whatever, I'm tired of watching him flail around: ''someone's'' gotta be a hardass. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 20:31, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
::lol, I'm also tired of him flailing around too, clearly shown by my diction. My, I'm scary when I'm frustrated. The reason I kind of abstained from contacting you at first is that I'm afraid that what I was doing was mini-modding or doing a duty normally reserved for admins (and also, during those times he piled on warning after warning, it seems like he was just an incompetent user), but I do think the edit on ''Mario Kart 7'' and the bad edit in his sigpage is the last straw, so I had to ask someone who had the power to block to, well, block. {{User:Bazooka Mario/sig}} 20:39, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
:::Nah, reporting bad behaviour to an admin isn't mini-modding. ==Revert and Unnecessary?==
I have a quick question, how come you made [http://www.mariowiki.com/Special:Contributions/Walkazo reverts on some on my edits about the trivia section] saying that they were unnecessary without an explanation and it's kinda rude also that since they were actually used in the were actually used in the official website? I managed to see they have fixed on Villager, Mega Man, and Bowser's name on their page in the address bar in the official website, but, since when Rosalina was first announced for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, they haven't changed and some of the others remained to the their official romanization in the address bar since these were counted as errors for an official english version.[[User:DigiPen92|DigiPen92]] ([[User talk:DigiPen92|talk]]) 16:06, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
:It's my job to patrol articles; if I had to explain in great detail every choice I make, I'd never get anything done. But since you asked, [[MarioWiki:Trivia|we dissuade people from adding Trivia in general]], and minor changes to urls don't really tell us anything about the characters - aside from the couple cases where the apparent romanizations differed from standard Hepburn romanizations, which are the references I ''did'' leave intact. Also, just so you know, calling people (especially staff members) "rude" for undoing your edits is actually a [[MarioWiki:Courtesy#Undo|bit of a courtesy infraction]], so try to be less defensive in the future, or others may take offence. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 16:19, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
Alright thanks, but, if it's not unnecessary, where should I might do the proposal in the wiki at and second, I didn't say that you're rude, I meant the comment is seems to be rude to me since it was unexplained from the Edit History and I was doing my best on it and working hard on it, but, I apologized to say it like that, I was just being helpful to the community.[[User:DigiPen92|DigiPen92]] ([[User talk:DigiPen92|talk]]) 16:34, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

==An issue with another user==
Hey, Walkazo, there's a problem with another user that I want to report on. [[User talk:Tailikku1|Tailikku1]] has a reputation for using bad sources and edit warring when it comes to translations, and he's received several warnings for this. Most recently, I noticed (and [[User talk:Bluesun|Bluesun]] definitely confirmed) that [[User_talk:Tailikku1#Edit_warring|he was using Google Translate for the majority of his translations and maybe even most of them]]. Coupled with the attempts to revert perfectly-valid edits by [[User talk:Goolgerenade|Goolgerenade]], I gave him a last warning and told him to remove any translations made through online translators. So far, he hasn't made any changes and hasn't said a single thing to either Bluesun or me about our accusations. Is there anything that can be done in this situation? {{User:Time Turner/sig}}
:Is he making up Japanese names (i.e. translating them from English), or just providing bad translations of legit Japanese names based on Google translate? I want to know exactly how much content we're gonna have to remove/fix before I give him a message emphasizing that if he doesn't respond and comply, he ''will'' be blocked (since ignoring requests to fix one's mistakes is as much a continued offence as making more bad edits, and eligible for further warnings/blocking as long as reasonable timeframes for responses are given). However, also keep in mind that Goolgerenade's as much of a liability as Tailikku, so I wouldn't trust anything he translates either (he takes too many liberties and ignores policy), and am actually in the process of going through his contributions, edit by edit, double-checking everything and reverting much of his maintenance work - which is what will have to be done to Tailikku's edits too, if he doesn't comply and start removing things himself. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 12:15, 19 October 2015 (EDT)
::Tailikku wasn't just changing edits that he disagreed with, he undid edits where Goolgerenade [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Avalanche!&diff=prev&oldid=1895724 also made other changes besides the translation] and even edits where [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=The_Great_Deflate&diff=prev&oldid=1895733 he didn't even touch the translation], and that's what I based part of my warning on. When it comes to the translations themselves, I'm inclined to believe that while the Japanese text is correct, Tailikku's translations are anything but. ボムへいスクランブル ([[Bob-omb X-ing]]) matches [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoBiQVFpDY8 this video], and feeding it through Google Translate gives me "Bomb soldiers scramble," which is [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Bob-omb_X-ing&diff=next&oldid=1879833 almost exactly what Tailikku wrote] after undoing after undoing Gool's edit to change "Bomuhei" to [[Bob-omb#Names in other languages|Bob-omb]]. The same applies to なぞってクレヨン ([[Trace Race]]): [https://youtu.be/Rk1PSJvg78o?t=229 video proof], translates to "The tracing in crayon," [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Trace_Race&diff=next&oldid=1879716 almost exactly what Tailikku wrote]. For ボムへいパズル ([[Bob-omb Breakers]]): couldn't find video proof, but translates as "Bomb soldiers puzzle," [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Bob-omb_Breakers&diff=prev&oldid=1895717 exactly what he wrote]. His Wario Land 2 translations seem to be, at the very least, not lifted from Google. 第2話 巨大じゃ口の せんをしめよう! ([[Turn off the giant faucet!]]): [https://youtu.be/2rY7nExbA8E?t=565 video proof], translates to "Let Shimeyo the line of the second episode giant 's mouth!," [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Turn_off_the_giant_faucet!&diff=prev&oldid=1795176 doesn't match at all]. I'm not well-versed enough to properly examine the translations, but at the very least, it seems to be transcribed correctly. {{User:Time Turner/sig}}
::::Thanks for all the links. Looking through the translations, a couple aren't bad, but yeah, it's clear he's just spitting out stuff from the translator and reverting other things out of spite / habit, which is Not Good. So far, Tailikku's been taken pity on when it comes to the edit warring since Goolgerenade also hurled flames as part of it, and the ones I've seen before now generally have had Tailikku in the right with the translations (and even in these examples, Goolgerenade was incorrectly lowercasing romaji despite being specifically told not to, so neither were fully in the right). Anyway, glad to hear we won't need to strip the names entirely, just double-check the translations: still a problem, but at least it's not straight-up forgery like we get sometimes with non-English names. I'll send a message now to Tailikku emphasizing the severity of the situation; if he doesn't start cleaning up his mess in the next handful of edits or makes any more bogus translations, he'll be blocked. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 13:32, 19 October 2015 (EDT)
:Update on Tailikku: [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Tailikku1&diff=prev&oldid=1902083 he made a comment defending himself] by saying that he ''also'' occasionally used a dictionary. [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Tailikku1&diff=next&oldid=1902083 I told him] to actually start undoing edits, and so far, he has made two changes. One was for [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Baby_Bowser_Bonkers&diff=prev&oldid=1902517 Baby Bowser Bonkers], from "Mini Koopa Bonking" to "Mini Koopa ???", and one was for [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Boo_Repellent&diff=prev&oldid=1902518 Boo Repellent], from "Anti-Boo Spray" to "Boo Repellent Spray (''yoke'' comes from ''mushiyoke,'' meaning bugspray)" though you've already looked at that one. It's something, I guess. {{User:Time Turner/sig}}
::Thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear he uses a dictionary as well: blindly plugging entire names into Google translate without any independent thought is what we don't want to see. It's good that he's starting to mark the less reliable ones too (although blanking the meanings would be better than many ?s, but they'll need to be redone either way, so w/e, I guess). - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 20:38, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
:Second round of updates: I don't want to make a habit of telling you whenever Tailikku edits something, but this time, he made two changes: one to [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Koopa_no_Hik%C5%8Dsen_Zenpen&diff=next&oldid=1907994 BOWSER's Big Blast] and one to [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Face_Lift&diff=prev&oldid=1907675 Face Lift]. In both cases, he changed the translations from "Bowser" to "Koopa". Both translations were then modified completely by [http://www.mariowiki.com/Special:Contributions/126.91.70.191 an IP]. If I may be frank, Tailikku's done the opposite of what's been asked of him, further skewing the translation, and he makes a few edits once in a blue moon, which is a far cry from the dozens of edits he made before the last warning. In any case, I thought you should know.
:On a side note, Goolgenerade's modifying the SMA4 translations (but not entirely reverting them) quite a bit now: [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Swinging_Bars_of_Doom&diff=next&oldid=1908010 Swinging Bars of Doom], [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Piped_Full_of_Plants&diff=prev&oldid=1908011 Piped Full of Plants], [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Koopa_no_Hik%C5%8Dsen_Zenpen&diff=prev&oldid=1908000 Koopa no Hikōsen Zenpen], and [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Vegetable_Volley&diff=prev&oldid=1908002 Vegetable Volley]. {{User:Time Turner/sig}}
::Great... But that IP's actually Goolgenerade, so take his changes with a grain of salt too. Glowsquid and I decided to just block the latter; I'll think about the former a bit more, and might block him too (not that it'll make much difference with his editing rate), but don't want to make a rash decision just because I'm tired. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 23:03, 7 November 2015 (EST)

:No, they don't have your password: when you go to the log in page, there's a "Forgotten your login details?" link, and if you click that, the only input it asks for in order for it to send the email is your username. So whoever this is, they just put your name there, and then this email with the temporary password was only sent to you, not them, so no need to worry. And as the message says, you can even keep using your old password despite the temporary password being sent to you, if you want. The IP isn't associated with any edits or users on the wiki, so I'm afraid I can't help shed light on who pulled this stunt, and it could easily be a robot, but either way, hopefully it won't happen again. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 15:47, 25 October 2015 (EDT)

I didn't actually notice any changes to my userpage so I guess it's all fine. I guess that I ''could'' remove the '+' tab if that's necessary, although I ''do'' like having it there... I don't know, maybe I'll consider it.
In either case, I really like what you've been doing here. I am still genuinely interested in getting this feature implemented since the feature is so good. It doesn't matter that we need to put in the pagename every time we add the link since once it's done, editing the templates will become ''so'' much easier. In either case, I pretty much have the whole week off – could the adding of these be done over the week/weekend? You get to decide exactly how the workload should be split considering you did most of the work, by the way. I am not in a position where I can barter about this, I reckon. {{User:RandomYoshi/sig}} 01:29, 27 October 2015 (EDT)

I don't know what timezone you live in, but my timezone is CET right now (Europe ''just'' left DST – hooray for different regions switching back/forth the clock at different times: it's so delightfully confusing) and so I don't know what your time is relative to mine. ==Change "More polls..." button==
Could you please change the "More polls..." button to "Poll Archives" on the Main Page? The Poll Committee thinks that would be better, as the old one is quite misleading. :Howabout "Previous Polls..." - that way it's clear that it's not about more vote-able polls, but fits the pattern set by the FA box above it a bit closer than "Poll Archives". - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 16:33, 1 November 2015 (EST)

==Pale Piranha== | |||
Hello! I've been a fan of PMTTYD since it was released on 2004. On that time I completed the game and filled my memory cards when I was 7. I wanted to ask you something: Can you give your explanation about the [[Pale Piranha]]?
It's absurd that regular Piranha Plants don't exist in this successful title. But still they actually exist in their regular coloration in the [[Audience]]. I want to prove that Pale Piranhas are Piranha Plants, so we can make a proposal. In the Japanese version, Pale Piranhas have the same name of the regular species. And I guess it's impossible that in Japan there is more than one enemy that is called Piranha Plant. In the American version I think they wanted to change the name due to its colors and was called subspecies due to its colors, though I'm confused because this is Goombella's tattle:
That's a Pale Piranha. You know about these guys. '''The famous Piranha Plants'''. This '''colorless subspecies''' is adapted to Boggly Woods. Ah, the wonders of nature! If you try to jump on them, they'll totally chomp on you.
In the Japanese version these are considered the regular enemies. But in the American version, I guess they were renamed because they have different coloration. However, that may also be the reason why Goombella said that they were "the famous Piranha Plants" and at the same "subspecies". That's my theory.
And about the Piranha Plant of the Pit of 100 Trials, they were probably colored like that so that there's an enemy that has the Piranha Plant's regular colors, and that may be the reason why they have the "Piranha Plant" name on the American version--to make an enemy have that name, while in Japan they are called '''Killer Piranhas'''. This may be another theory, since in Japan, there's less censoring than in the USA.
Well, I wanted to persuade that in PMTTYD, Piranha Plants exist. If you want we may discuss more about it. Thank you! :) --[[User:James Blonde|James Blonde]] ([[User talk:James Blonde|talk]]) 21:51, 4 November 2015 (EST)
:The tattle clearly states they're a type of Piranha Plant (with the overall "Piranha Plant" family conceivably being what she means is famous), and it's clearly visible that they're not regular Piranha Plants - hence the English localizers fixed the name, The Japanese game makers aren't perfect: sometimes, the translations make more sense, and in this case, they do. However, the "Killer Pakkun"'s tattle also explicitly states that it's not the regular Piranha Plan either, despite the English name, but in accordance with the Japanese name - the uniqueness of which was preserved in the other translations, so overall, the message is clearly that these ''aren't'' regular Piranha Plants. Hence, two separate articles, and no regular Piranha Plants in TTYD. The end. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 19:41, 5 November 2015 (EST)
::But I didn't said that I want to merge Pale Piranha and Piranha Plant (PMTTYD) (or that the last mentioned species is the regular) together or merge both with the normal species. Don't be mad with me.
::But may I still state in the regular [[Piranha Plant]] page that they appear in the [[Audience]] because I see that this is true? Let's discuss later if you want, but don't be mad, I was trying to be nice. If you're not mad sorry, but I wanted to advice you, but someone else may know more right? I guess that only the NOA knows the truth... --[[User:James Blonde|James Blonde]] ([[User talk:James Blonde|talk]]) 12:11, 7 November 2015 (EST)
:::I'm not mad, just not keen on discussing closed cases where all the arguments have already been stated and are readily available on the applicable proposals: I have limited free time most days, after all. Plus, people sometimes use "friendly chats" as a backdoor to restarting debates, so I wanted to make it clear that no merges were gonna be happening. Anyway, sure, feel free to add on their article that Piranha Plants ''do'' appear in the audience; while the stronger ones look identical, it doesn't seem unreasonable to say the audience members are the regular type rather than the Pit of 100 Trials-only enemy. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 16:43, 7 November 2015 (EST)

==Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition==
In ''Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition'', there are a handful of "mash-up" enemies that are treated as separate entities than just the enemies themselves -- having their own stats, attacks, Skills, XP growth (and so on). For those reasons, would it be appropriate that separate articles be created for them? Here's a list of them:
*[[Blooper Nanny]] & [[Blooper Baby|Baby]]
*[[Blooper Nanny]] & [[Blooper Baby|Babies]]
*[[Wiggler]] & [[Flame Chomp]]
*[[Flutter]] & [[Flame Chomp]]
*[[Chain Chomp]] & [[Flame Chomp]]
*[[Chain Chomp]] & [[Flame Chomp]]s
*[[Bullet Bill]] & [[Goomba]]
*[[Bullet Bill]] & [[Goomba]]s
*[[Goomba Tower|2-Goomba Tower]]
*[[Goomba Tower|3-Goomba Tower]]
*[[Spiny Egg]] & [[Lakitu]]
*Double [[Lakitu]] | |||
*[[Spiny Egg]] & [[Lakitu]]
*[[Blooper]] & [[Cheep Cheep]]
*[[Blooper]] & [[Cheep Cheep]]s
*Red [[Koopa Troopa]] & [[Cheep Cheep]]
*[[Dry Bones]] & [[Cheep Cheep]]
*[[Whomp]] & [[Boos]] | |||
*[[Boo Trio]] (made up of three Boos)
*[[Boo Crew]] (made up of eight Boos)
Also, would it make any sense to create articles for the game's demo's two levels? Like all of the other levels in the full version, the enemies have their own XP/Coin drop amounts, Orb configurations and the like. I haven't seen anything that recommends against creating articles for demo levels, so I thought I'd bring this up, too. --[[User:Zootalo|Zootalo]] ([[User talk:Zootalo|talk]]) 12:31, 27 November 2015 (EST)
:The demo levels can get pages, but the mash-up enemies getting separate articles seems like overkill: just list all the combos and their stats in the respective articles/stats pages (so, [[List of Goomba profiles and statistics]] would have solo Goomba (if applicable), Bullet Bill & Goomba, and Bullet Bill & Goombas; meanwhile, [[Bullet Bill]] would have solo Bullet Bill (if applicable), and both Bullet Bill & Goomba, and Bullet Bill & Goombas). Tables could probably work well for that, or maybe horizontal infoboxes that could be stacked (or toggled to be vertical for anything that only has one set of stats), if there's too many stats to easily fit into single rows (I'm still working on redesigning all the existent infoboxes to have horizontal modes: RL work and damage-control translation work around here have pushed it lower on the priority list for now). The only ones it ''might'' be worth giving articles to are the Boo ones with specific names, but that'd be up for debate. - [[User:walkazo|Walkazo]] 13:31, 27 November 2015 (EST)

==About the move I made==
Hi, I just wanted to know if I do the move of Neo Bowser Castle to Neo Bowser Castle (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) because of the location with the same name in Paper Jam to make a disambiguation page with the Neo Bowser Castle article. Do I do it correctly or should I leave it to Neo Bowser Castle and make a page called Neo Bowser Castle (disambiguation). I'm worried that I do something wrong.--{{User:LudwigVon/sig}} 20:37, 4 December 2015 (EST)
:Yeah, what you did is correct (only make separate "(disambiguation)"-titled pages when the plain name is in use as one of the articles), although rather than linking to the disamig page, the articleabouts on the two pages should just link directly to each other. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 21:34, 4 December 2015 (EST)

:You can copy and paste the content if you want as long as there's a new section with a new proposal beneath the intact, archived NO QUORUM one. The Poll Committee is trying to gender-nuetralize "chairman" to "chairperson" and "vice-chairman" to "vice-chairperson" [[MarioWiki:Polls/First Poll Committee|here]]; thing is, none of us are able to adit it (even the two patrollers on our team), which is a bit odd, as the other archives are editable. Look the Yoshi876 example of reverting edits was only one time, check LudwigVon's edits and he was repeatedly doing that, and stop telling me that my editions are poor quality, you simply want to defend him, and '''I'VE NEVER ACCUSED ANYBODY ELSE OF THE SAME THING, just made it with LudwigVon'''. I've never posted something in Mario jc's wall, and I'm not making war, it's just TRUE. And what's more if I had low-quality edits, I would already have been advised, and thus '''you're really disrespecting me (in the Pale Piranha thingie and right now)''' you just said bad things about me in my wall and in L151's. I'd like to talk more but I've been very well treated and welcomed, and then just a Warning. I would rather prefer Remider or Userspace; I said Merry Christmas but I was ignored, and I got mad. Please, I just want a little change, not fight, I didn't came to this wiki to alter peace, but here to be a much better place. If you want to thing I make disasters and that I'm a vandal OK, but I just wanted a change; just got a Warning from level 2 offense; how would the next level be... --[[User:James Blonde|James Blonde]] ([[User talk:James Blonde|talk]]) 18:49, 26 December 2015 (EST)
:But the disagree isn't the reason why I was angry; the reason was simple: I don't like what you think about me and my edits, and I don't get why are they worse; I just rewrote it in another way, since I investigated about enemies in my memorable gameplays, but now as I see I've been displeased. I'm currently 23 and my newborn children may get interested in my work: employee in the [[Nintendo of America|NOA]]. I've been discussing similar problems many years before these things but I have a good heart and I just wanted to be respected ever since the founding of the wiki almost a decade ago. I don't know to who I must talk to but you seemingly know more, I almost cried because it was Christmas, and one of the key people may know much more than a vandal who was about to get discharged this afternoon. This was by far the closest point if compared to my previous accounts, generation from generation. {{unsigned|James Blonde}}

Beyond just inserting the course maps on the respective level pages, any suggestions on how to make the course maps themselves look less sloppy? --[[User:Zootalo|Zootalo]] ([[User talk:Zootalo|talk]]) 23:30, 26 December 2015 (EST)
:Well, first of all, I recommend making them a fixed pixel width rather than 50%, since in narrower screens, some of the maps with lots of levels are getting too compressed. It's hard to say how to get the list page less deadly to computers: I'd suggest swapping the images for symbols or letters, but that'd look bad since they're actually communicating info instead of just being artistic flair. Another option would be to take screencaps of the maps and put those images on the list page while the individual world/level pages have the original charts, with the screencap images linking to the level/world articles in the aboutfiles in case changes need to be made and a new cap taken. But afaik, this is a very novel idea for the wiki, so it would be better to get more input before doing something like that, like on the forum collab thread or even a proposal. - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 23:50, 26 December 2015 (EST)

Hi, Is there a place somewhere that I could know about users who got promoted or demoted. Because I need to know that for an example for my application at the 'Shroom.--{{User:LudwigVon/sig}} 13:43, 29 December 2015 (EST)
:[[MarioWiki:Administrators]], and the related Patroller, Bureaucrat and Autopatrolled pages have lists of the current and former admins (the latter all being in the Autopatrolled rank); you can also get those lists straight from [[Special:ListUsers]] (using the Group feature). There's also [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=rights&user=&page=&year=&month=-1&tagfilter=&hide_patrol_log=1 the User rights changes log], which will also give you the comments and dates for everyone's promotions/demotions, but is messy to read through. Userpedia summarizes the info decently well on its [[Userpedia:Sysop|Sysop]], [[Userpedia:Bureaucrat|'Crat]] and [[Userpedia:Patroller|Patroller]] articles for all past and current staff members, although the Patrollers page is the only one that's complete since the other two only have promotion ''or'' demotion info, but not both, if users have been promoted/demoted multiple times (mainly due to periods of inactivity). - [[User:Walkazo|Walkazo]] 14:07, 29 December 2015 (EST)

Possible security hole question
I would usually post these types of questions on the Main Page, but for anti-troll reasons I'll post it here where there's somewhat less traffic. Earlier, I was messing around on the MarioWiki when I came upon this page. Obviously, I'm not testing it out, but it appears that could reset anyone's password (not just yourself), given that you know their username. Of course, the new password would be sent straight to the targeted user's email, but until the targeted user figures that out, they could potentially be locked out. Is this possible? --Andymii (talk) 23:02, 11 June 2015 (EDT)
- Hmmm, strange. Testing it out on an old blocked sockpuppet, it spits back "There is no email address recorded for user "Noname1".", so maybe if there was an email, it'd work? idk, ask Porplemonage about it - he'll know better than me. - Walkazo 23:09, 11 June 2015 (EDT)
Okay, I'll do that. Thanks for your help. --Andymii (talk) 23:21, 11 June 2015 (EDT)
BTW, Steve responded. He said that the original password will still work. Ultimately, it just shows that you should never share your email address. (On a side note, 'Shroom email subscribers are able to see other subscriber's emails. This may or may not be an issue that you guys might want to look into.) --Andymii (talk) 15:44, 12 June 2015 (EDT)
- That's good. The Shroom operates separately from the admins, but yeah, that does sound like a questionable practice and they should probably look into using the BCC function to avoid that, or something. Maybe let SMB know about your concerns. - Walkazo 15:57, 12 June 2015 (EDT)
Thanks. I'll ask him. --Andymii (talk) 15:58, 12 June 2015 (EDT)

Is it written in the guidelines that names stated in-game should not be sourced?
If it is, I apologise. I realize that it is stated in the page's of Gooper Blooper and Petey Piranha that they have that name in Sticker Star, so it is unnecessary their, but for King Boo and Wiggler? --Hiccup (talk) 13:38, 13 June 2015 (EDT)
- MarioWiki:Citations: "For the most part, you don't need to provide a reference for basic information taken directly from the games. This includes [...] characters," - level/mission/etc. names aren't obscure enough to warrant citations. Names only found in guides or other 3rd party sources (i.e. not the games or their manuals) need to be cited, and just so you know, page numbers should be provided (otherwise they should be flagged with {{page needed}}). - Walkazo 13:44, 13 June 2015 (EDT)

Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Nvm, Glowsquid's reply proved me wrong. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

- No, I don't remember you. But looking through your contributions and what's said on your talk page to refresh my memory, I see no more reason to believe you now than I did back then. Sorry, but "my brother did it" is the oldest excuse in the book, and the timing is also very suspicious. Get over it. - Walkazo 17:59, 3 July 2015 (EDT)
Just saying hi
Looking through the User pages (I get reeeeally bored), I came across your brother's. I'd type something on his page, but odds are, he's not gonna see it. I also have Asperger's and Autism (as well as Tourette's and Marfan's), so I know what he's going through. It can be tough being really smart and unsociable. The most recent date I saw on his page was 2011, so I hope he's doing much better now! I have trouble talking, but I somehow have a lot of friends, so I know it can only get better as you go along. I have a younger brother with Autism as well, so I know how it feels to be a sibling of an autistic person as well. I wish you both good luck with your lives, Walkazo and Pantaro! (Alex95 (talk))
- Thanks. I'll pass along the message to my bro. Good luck to you too. - Walkazo 13:53, 9 July 2015 (EDT)

- I also look around and I see that two other more account name "Fidel" and "Fidel c. Ofoajoku" being block for sockpuppet. Just to inform you.--(TALK) 14:45, 12 July 2015 (EDT)

Koopalings name
I didn't write "Koopalings" name because I tought it was a mistake, I don't really know where they was name "Koopalings" in NOA French version. Because before New Super Mario Bros. U, they where name Bowser's children instead of their group name. And they didn't appear since a long time, NOA's french was included almost only since 2007 with Super Mario Galaxy, before it, it was mostly english language only.--(TALK) 19:53, 15 July 2015 (EDT)
- Well, someone added it, so presumably they were called "Koopalings" at some point somewhere, but maybe it'd be a good idea to add a {{ref needed}} to be safe. - Walkazo 20:53, 15 July 2015 (EDT)

About beveragarium
The word "bar" never shows up in the Super Paper Mario script at all, not to mention that it's improper use of the term since neither establishment serves alcoholic beverages as far as the game is concerned. Why call them something that they're not? LinkTheLefty (talk) 16:10, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- There are plenty of types of bars that serve non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee and milk bars, as well as juice bars and even soup bars. Meanwhile, "beveragarium" appears to be a made-up word: Googling it yields almost exclusively SPM-related results, and even if it's real, it's still so obscure, we are far more likely to confuse or at least perturb readers by using it as the identifier. It doesn't matter if it doesn't appear in the game: is Chap (blue) ever called "that blue guy"? Probably not, but the identifier makes sense, and it's not being billed as part of the canon name anyway, so we use it. And "bar" makes sense here too: these establishments are clearly modeled after bars (with bartenders and regulars and everything), they just serve other stuff instead of alcohol (for obvious reasons), which the articles clearly state, so we're hardly misleading anyone. Why call them some terrible, obscure jargon when we have a nice, simple word that works perfectly well? This is one of the many cases where the wiki's ability to use discretion and judgement is a good thing. - Walkazo 16:59, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- I almost guarantee no one actually shortens coffee bar, milk bar, etc. as plain bar. There's also a difference between a bar place in itself or as part of a restaurant, which is typically where juice bar and soup bar comes in. If we must use real-world terms, I'd really recommend using The Underwhere (milk bar) and The Overthere (café) since those are more applicable descriptions. Of course, I'd say not using the same identifier for both articles makes them less simple anyway, but the word by itself isn't quite right. LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:10, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- Excuse me for interjecting, but there's a small coffee bar near my mom's store, with "bar" in its name and everything, and we usually refer to it as a bar. Call a spade a spade, I say; it's simpler and people are still going to understand it (even if they lead in with alcohol on their mind, they're close enough and the article almost immediately talks about serving milk). Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Good to know: I have a few non-booze "bars" around where I live too. I also asked my boss when he phoned me a short while ago for a second (now third) opinion, and he says "bar" seems like a general word for a place people hang out (whereas something like "tavern" does seem alcohol-only). Anyway, I feel very strongly that these names make sense, and that it's better that the two places use the same qualifier (like, I kept forgetting which one was milk and which one was coffee, and consistency looks good, like the two colourful Chaps); plus, it's best to avoid unnecessary accented words as not all devices can easily type them. I say leave the pages where they are: there's no good reason to change them. - Walkazo 17:38, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- Well, it's not exactly the dictionary definition, but if we've got multiple people vouching for it, I'm okay with it. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:30, 30 July 2015 (EDT)

About Boom Boom...
I've honestly wanted to put this off since I'd much prefer to wait for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games to come out, but it looks like someone jumped the gun on this, so I guess I don't really have a choice... Even not counting that future title, I reached the overall conclusion that there's no tangible basis for a Boom Boom character up to this point, much less warranting a separate article over it. In the end, I think all the information should be kept into consideration and the stance for continued separation is worth rethinking... I invite your input. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:30, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- I made my opinion clear in my vote on the TPP in question. I'm insanely busy IRL right now and don't have the time or bothers to give on the matter beyond what I've already said. Once upon a time, I used to enjoy in-depth discussions, but not so much anymore. - Walkazo 22:24, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Would you mind if I post a link to it in the comments? LinkTheLefty (talk) 22:28, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- While I do personally mind it when people dissect my writing point by point, and view excessively long essay responses to proposals in general as laughable wastes of time and energy these days (my own regrettable text walls included), it's not like it's breaking any rules, so do whatever you want. - Walkazo 22:53, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- You did say you'd be happy to provide feedback when it was ready, and I thought you were aware that my work-in-progress was started a fair while ago, so I'm not understanding this tone shift. That said, it's not something I particularly want to do, either - although I believe it may be a must sooner or later, even if re-approached. This current proposal puts me at an uncomfortable spot because 1) I thought you were cool with my re-evaluation and I hoped to have your approval before deciding to put it in proposal form, 2) I now have no idea if others will direct their votes towards the proposer's opening statements rather than the whole subject since I know the prior lead person won't or is unable to address it, and 3) the timing for this is terrible. LinkTheLefty (talk) 00:00, 31 July 2015 (EDT)
- I've just gotten fed up with the never-ending cycle of TPPs: I'd rather use what few blocks of dedicated wiki time I have actually doing useful things like editing, rather than spending hours and hours arguing just to keep single pages the same. It gets old. And when I said I'd provide feedback, I didn't know you had a horrible 13 kB long essay in mind, filled with rhetoric about childhood biases (for the record, I never considered Boom Boom to be a character when I was a kid, and I'm not particularly emotionally invested either way now: I only care about this from a wiki POV), and dissecting my old proposal in particular. I don't have the time or inclination to read all that. Besides, I did say back then that I thought both pages were the best option: I'm never going to approve of any attempt to scrap either one of them, since no matter how many arguments there are for one option or the other, there's still conflicting info and ambiguity that must be acknowledged. - Walkazo 03:44, 31 July 2015 (EDT)
- I really thought I proposed the proposal in a way that was clear with what I had intended to do, and let you know that this would take some time before it was finished and to reach a solid conclusion, so I didn't get the impression at all that length(?) and subject matter was an issue. It's unfortunate that it is, and it's more disappointing than upsetting to me that it wasn't worked out. Don't get me wrong - I certainly agree that any ambiguity must be preserved, but I really can't think of other articles off the top of my head that go this far to maintain a split over vague language/nomenclature that, as it turns out, essentially only exists in the original NES manuals (indeed, almost every other classic enemy needs a virtually copied character page if we extend the same logic elsewhere). That "rhetoric" you mentioned was also deliberately left at the end as I felt it was necessary to summarize general concerns for the state of the articles, which I honestly slapped together due to this current proposal, and I was willing to listen to criticism and rewrite portions ahead of time if you thought anything was too harsh or if you could clarify that I grossly misunderstood major points. I've indicated this before, but as a multiple choice proposal in the first place, I'm led to believe less faith was initially placed on one outcome over others, even if you saw your previous outlook become unpopular. I think this proposal proves what I warned: if Boom Boom continues to be as portrayed in the future, more people are going to come along and say, "why is the rationale for the Boom Boom articles so lacking and abstract?" (I also realize from earlier that there is a mostly unspoken rule to be predisposed against merges, but why even vote if one openly doesn't feel especially strong towards the topic at hand or bother to read all arguments as voters are assumed do to the best of their ability?) LinkTheLefty (talk) 09:50, 31 July 2015 (EDT)
- I figured the time would be taken because you're busy with other stuff. If you want my feedback, I'd say just give up and stop wasting your time because the page isn't gonna be deleted anytime soon, if ever. You're ignoring the fact that there only being a character Boom Boom is a popular opinion too: Nintendo being wishy-washy and Japanese being ambiguous about pluralization may be the cause, but you can't hand-wave the result; choosing one or the other is too much interpretation on our part, and will just lead to even more reader confusion and TPPs down the road as people continue to interpret it the other way. The current solution is the best we can make out of a bad situation. But if you insist on beating a dead horse, at least make it shorter (halve it at least; third it if possible): don't quote my old proposal, just make your own points, and keep the "stop clutching onto your beloved childhood miniboss" accusations and righteous attitude minimal, because they're gonna get people more defensive than anything else. - Walkazo 12:06, 31 July 2015 (EDT)
- 1) Presuming that current and future proposals are automatically doomed is unnecessary as it's not like I didn't notice Boom Boom was treated as a touchy subject, 2) It's been nearly three months since I announced I'd get started on it, 3) I thought it was understood that a detailed analysis of the previous points coupled with updated material would be the best approach since that's where all the information was most visible for everyone who made their old vote (and probably still is since the discussion was very bloated), 4) You said you're already unable or unwilling to answer for the counterpoints and narrowed down the entirety to the "aftermath" of the draft (directed more towards the previous discussion as a whole, definitely not you in particular, although I do have grievance when 1~3 of the current vote ultimately tally from someone who is non-committed or otherwise no longer deeply invested in such discussions, which as I understand it would be outed as Rule 5 if it were my proposal), 5) Inaction is worse than the alternative I fear- the endangerment of the case-by-case basis the wiki has touted so proudly. Opinions aside, we're not better than Nintendo; if the proposal fails and the future doesn't change anything, I may revisit this with another approach if I still have it in me rather than copy and paste what we have with even more information.

I'm a bit nervous to add them myself because some of the names on the right-hand side are tagged "citation needed" on their pages. And some editors creates redirects in a different way from the one stated on MW:JAPANESE, like "ō" to "ou" or "oo" instead of "o", so I'm not sure if I'm right.
Also would it be a good idea to use see-also between "Otto" and "Ottō"? They're completely different things. Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 10:49, 4 August 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, they're necessary: while "ō" is romanized as "ou" (or "oo" in older standards), it's still understandable if someone just searches with "o" (i.e. my kepyboard doesn't easily type macrons, so I leave them out of Google searches even when I know they're there), but if you're nervous, I could do them, or the "citation needed" ones, or whatever: it's up to you. As for the "Otto"s, I think it would be a good idea to use {{distinguish}} - again, because someone hoping for "Ottō" might easily just type "Otto" and get confused by a dead end. - Walkazo 13:24, 4 August 2015 (EDT)

BoxTop
If a page has navigation boxes but no {{BoxTop}}, should it be added? (I found 2,361 such pages.) Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 00:07, 6 August 2015 (EDT)
- BoxTop should only be used if a page has 10 or more nav templates: feel free to add it to those pages, but not pages with 9 or less, since there's no need to collapse such a small block of templates. - Walkazo 15:27, 6 August 2015 (EDT)
- Excuse me, but collapse? Isn't that what {{navboxes}} is for? I thought BoxTop was simply meant for spacing above the nav templates? I'm asking because if I'm wrong, I've been using the template wrong. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Oh right, sorry. I'm juggling like five things at the moment and had a brain fart (I even looked at the template and unsuccessfully searched MW:NAV for it, and still didn't register). Yeah, it's the space thing and should be used on top of all templates, except for when something's already regulating spacing - e.g. if {{stub}} is in use, it's got its own clear function so no need for BoxTop. I also don't put it in situations where {{NIWA}} is nested beside a small number of external links or references (example), or on small pages where the infobox far exceeds the length of the text eben on small screen resolutions, since then the NIWA/infobox itself ensures there's some blank space between the text and the nav templates, while also forming a continuous block with the nav templates, which I think looks better than when there's a space. (But if the references will go beyond the height of the NIWA template, BoxTop should be used, because then some blank space is necessary.) But it's not really regulated either way, or high priority for fixing: if when you're going around editing and you see <br clear=all> in use above nav templates, or nothing being used and text coming right down on top of the templates, then add it, but otherwise, best to busy yourself with content-based maintenance work. - Walkazo 15:57, 6 August 2015 (EDT)

Daisy
The mention of colors and personality was in regard to her trophy information from the most recent Smash game. "Maybe their choice of colors symbolizes their personalities" and the Baby Daisy profile mentioning her favorite color has always been orange. Does it just need to state it was mentioned in these profiles, or? And for the mention of the unique accents she uses, it's not really a broad statement. It's the same as acknowledging Mario's Ialian accent, is it not? UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 19:35, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
- Ah okay, yeah, just specifically say that the trophy speculates that her orange is symbolic. As for the language thing, multiple people agreed to its removal on the forum: while Mario's accent is very broad and easily identifiable by anyone as Italian, saying she has a mix of three very distinct dialects based on a few scraps of slang here and there just seems like grasping at straws. Plus, not everyone has a good idea of what a Dixie accent, Valleyspeak or Ebonics really mean separately, much less mashed together: it's more confusing than anything. Similar problem with "viridian", by the way: everyone knows teal is blue-green, but most people know viridian as being a city in Pokemon, or think it's just a really pretentious way to talk about a shade of green (or a shade of blue, or teal, depending on who you talk to - but if the people who do know the colour can't agree what it even means, again, best to not use it). Maybe you could say Daisy has a bit of twang in her voice (iirc), but I definitely wouldn't go beyond that. - Walkazo 20:09, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
- I just want to add (since I brought it up in the forums in the first place), the parallel to Mario's Italian accent would be Daisy's American/U.S. accent. To call it even more specific accents would be akin to calling Mario's accent Sicilian. Given the target region in this wiki, it's usually just a given, so I don't think even "American accent" needs to be mentioned. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:36, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
- It's funny you should mention Viridian City, though, because those places in Pokemon are named after those color-words. But I agree, more people know teal, but referring to her color of green aside from Strikers Charged as bluish is an overstatement of how bluish it is. With someone like Rosalina around it's easier to see how Daisy's isn't really a cyan tone, but viridian. But yeah, unfortunately jargon to most since it needs explaining. I'll just have some mention of a twang, but will try not to make the statement complex or analytical.
And Bazooka Mario, I see your point about the Sicilian thing, and if something of the American accent is mentioned, as I said here now, it'll be more simplified in regards to Walkazo.UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 18:01, 23 August 2015 (EDT)

potential list incomprehensiveness disclaimer
Hello. I once constructed some item lists, like the one here. These lists are supposed to cover the items the player can find in some areas in the game, but it may not be complete. Do such lists need a disclaimer saying that they are possibly incomplete, like Wikipedia's lists do? Another gossip-loving Toad (talk) 10:37, 12 September 2015 (EDT)
- I feel like a new template would be unnecessary. You could just put a note in the text at top of the section, or use {{rewrite-expand}} (or maybe {{construction}}) if it's definitely missing some stuff that could easily be found and added. If it's just an unconfirmed gut feeling or something, I'd say don't bother slapping ugly notice templates on it for potentially no reason. - Walkazo 11:12, 12 September 2015 (EDT)

I have a problem with MK8 stats
Walkazo, I have a problem. In the MK8 page, I think you should remove the stats as they are shown on the PRIMA guide because, not only it's not updated, but these stats are also shared by the same characters and vehicle parts! (e.g. in-game, it says Mario has 3.75 Ground Speed, while in the PRIMA guide, it says Mario has 6 Ground Speed!) While the "Kart of Champions" times are ALSO staff ghosts, they are at least made by different people and use different combinations! Plus they also have a completely different time than the in-game ghosts (and have a pretty big difference in comparison)! Sarantis (talk) 04:24, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- I don't know anything about MK8 or its convoluted stats stuff. All I did was advise on how to present the two sets of data. If you think there's a problem, mark the section on the talk page with {{talk}} or make a Talk Page Proposal about it to get more opinions, but I won't make a call either way (until I have more information). - Walkazo 09:45, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- My problem is that I think the in-game stats should be displayed WITHOUT the PRIMA guide stats, as they are shared by the same characters and vehicle parts! The in-game Staff Ghosts and the "Kart of Champions" Staff Ghosts should be kept as they are shown now because they are made by different people, they use different combinations and because the "Kart of Champions" Staff Ghosts when compared with the in-game Staff Ghosts have a big difference in each course separately! Do you understand what I mean now? Sarantis (talk) 11:49, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- I think there's merit in showing both the raw Prima stats and the stuff that's been manually converted to reflect the in-game values: different readers might have an easier time understanding one or the other, and if we have the actual stats, we don't have to outsource people to the excel chart linked to on Template:MarioKart8Parts if they're dubious about our conversions. I don't know anything about staff ghosts: you're really asking the wrong person for feedback here. - Walkazo 12:05, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

Infoboxes
Was noticing you were revamping some of the infoboxes for some of the Mario RPGs, and saw that the "Item 2 Drop" variable was being left out for the Superstar Saga one...
Also, for The Thousand-Year Door, enemies have many variables that should be listed in the infobox (such as amount of coins dropped, their chances of getting afflicted with a status ailment, etc.). Paper Mario also has variables not listed in the info box as well that are different from the ones in TTYD (chances of getting paralyzed, lifted up with Air Lift, etc).
Were you planning to make separate infoboxs, or if not, would there be a way of adding them to the current one like enemy&diff=1830782&oldid=1830761 I tried to do back in May? --Zootalo (talk) 18:31, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, both items would just go in a single Item Drop variable: it simplifies things, uses space more efficiently in the vertical form of the infoboxes, and is the only way the horizontal version is easily balanced. - Walkazo 20:59, 19 September 2015 (EDT)

- Displaying a complete listing of Item/badge drops for TTYD might be a pain in the ass to stick in the infobox, as there are actually hold (X/200) and drop rates (X/300) for each item an enemy has. In the Dark Craw article, I made a chart that shows each item/badge and their hold/drop rates. Would it be possible to implement such a listing in the infobox? --Zootalo (talk) 23:28, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks. I'm combining the min and max coins, and found this that explains the "Ex%", so I figure that could also just go in the coins, so show the amounts of coins with the % chance of getting each one, rather than readers needing to do the horrible math themselves (plus it saves on rows/boxes, which is a good thing). I'd also say for the item drop chart there, just show the %s rather than over-using the hover-over bsns and showing the /200 and /300 stuff, which will just confuse people. How many items/badges do enemies usually hold? If there's gonna be 8 per enemy, I feel like the infoboxes are gonna be getting a bit large and busy. - Walkazo 22:32, 24 September 2015 (EDT)
User naming problems
A recent user has signed up under the name of Mario. Unfortunately, any instances of Mario (talk) will redirect to my userpages and all. I thought if I renamed from Mario, the name would be locked, but apparently, that's not the case. This is very troubling (and I caused it D:). Maybe I should just re-rename myself back to Mario so this never happens again. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 04:11, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, that's one of the problems with using "basic" names like that. Fortunately the account never edited, so hopefully it was just a spambot anyway, but either way, I blocked the account and asked them to choose a different name if they ever do want to edit. Plus, this way, the account name won't be available for re-usage. - Walkazo 11:22, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- But I can still rename myself to that account if I ever wish to come back on that? Ah well, thanks! I hope that user wasn't a legitimate potential new user. Well, I don't think this was the first time somebody signed up under an existing username (I recalled a troll doing this). It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:02, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- Sure (tho personally, I dunno why you'd want such an awkward name in the first place, but that's just me - I hate renames in general too, lol). Last time someone wanted a name of a banned account they also got temporarily banned through MediaWiki glitch shenanigans, but I'm pretty sure if the other "Mario" account's unbanned first, before getting renamed to make room, that won't happen. And yeah, I feel like I've seen this sorta thing before too: sadly, it can't be helped. - Walkazo 18:34, 26 September 2015 (EDT)
- Don't worry, I'm keeping this name for a while. I just need to have a peace of mind to know that I can rename back to Mario whenever I really need to because I like naming myself something like, despite how awkward that is. I also need a peace of mind that nobody else is going to sign up for that name, since I was so freaking worried the moment my sister messaged me about the signup. It's me, Mario! This IP is clearly not getting the memo, as from these recent edits to the 1-Up Mushroom article. Ray Trace(T|C) 15:37, 26 September 2015 (EDT)

- Done. I'd hoped it'd just leave on its own since until now, it would only really edit once a month and then leave, but not this time. Hopefully the ban will get the message through; if not, it'll be a month-long ban next time. - Walkazo 16:34, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

Fuck ! I'm forgot my password ! 😭😢😓
Hi Walkazo, it's Captain Yoshi, I have a problem, I forgot my password, je sais pas comment je vais faire pour me connecter maintenant 😢😵 and Is very annoying !
Help me please 😢--90.48.53.20 17:19, 27 September 2015 (EDT) Captain Yoshi
- Quel dommage... If you entered an email address when you joined, the password reset email would have been sent to that email account when you used the link Glowsquid gave you; if you didn't sign up with an email, then Porplemontage is the only one who can help you (I think), provided you give him your email address. He's always lurking about even if he seems inactive; just be patient and wait a couple days to see if he responds to the message you left on his talk page. A spam folder is "le filtrage d'enveloppe", I think. Wikipedia talks about it. But maybe Glowsquid thought that you sent Porplemontage an email instead of a talk page message - there is no "spam filter" function on the wiki. Just be patient. (Also, sorry this is all in English: I am too sleepy to try and translate right now, and don't know the right words anyway.) - Walkazo 20:06, 27 September 2015 (EDT)

Joey2871
I'm requesting you to keep an eye on Joey2871 (talk) because he recently made this edit, which is most likely intentional vandalism, given his previous intent to deface pages because he thinks it's funny. I've told him to seriously cut it out, especially since he has been accumulating a large pile of warnings and reminders while showing no improvement whatsoever, but I have no power beyond that. Thanks. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 19:44, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks for the heads up, but I've actually just banned him for that. He should have been kicked out earlier, but people keep giving him extra warnings despite him already getting a Last Warning, instead of alerting an admin to give him the proper level of punishment (i.e. a block). This actually happens a lot in general, and it's frustrating. The fact that you already gave him an informal warning actually makes this block awkward too, but whatever, I'm tired of watching him flail around: someone's gotta be a hardass. - Walkazo 20:31, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
- lol, I'm also tired of him flailing around too, clearly shown by my diction. My, I'm scary when I'm frustrated. The reason I kind of abstained from contacting you at first is that I'm afraid that what I was doing was mini-modding or doing a duty normally reserved for admins (and also, during those times he piled on warning after warning, it seems like he was just an incompetent user), but I do think the edit on Mario Kart 7 and the bad edit in his sigpage is the last straw, so I had to ask someone who had the power to block to, well, block. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:39, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
- Nah, reporting bad behaviour to an admin isn't mini-modding. And tbh, incompetent users are a waste of our time and effort, and I'd rather be able to block them right away rather than watch ineffective warnings pile up on their talk pages. We're an encyclopedia: if not any of our users' jobs to babysit newbies - if they can't figure out the basics, that's their problem. - Walkazo 20:52, 9 October 2015 (EDT)

Revert and Unnecessary?
I have a quick question, how come you made reverts on some on my edits about the trivia section saying that they were unnecessary without an explanation and it's kinda rude also that since they were actually used in the were actually used in the official website? I managed to see they have fixed on Villager, Mega Man, and Bowser's name on their page in the address bar in the official website, but, since when Rosalina was first announced for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, they haven't changed and some of the others remained to the their official romanization in the address bar since these were counted as errors for an official english version.DigiPen92 (talk) 16:06, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- It's my job to patrol articles; if I had to explain in great detail every choice I make, I'd never get anything done. But since you asked, we dissuade people from adding Trivia in general, and minor changes to urls don't really tell us anything about the characters - aside from the couple cases where the apparent romanizations differed from standard Hepburn romanizations, which are the references I did leave intact. Also, just so you know, calling people (especially staff members) "rude" for undoing your edits is actually a bit of a courtesy infraction, so try to be less defensive in the future, or others may take offence. - Walkazo 16:19, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
Alright thanks, but, if it's not unnecessary, where should I might do the proposal in the wiki at and second, I didn't say that you're rude, I meant the comment is seems to be rude to me since it was unexplained from the Edit History and I was doing my best on it and working hard on it, but, I apologized to say it like that, I was just being helpful to the community.DigiPen92 (talk) 16:34, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- Trust me, it's unnecessary. It's too minor for a MarioWiki:Proposal or even a Talk Page Proposal; if you really wanna contest it, just post a comment on one of the talk pages, but honestly, all you're gonna be doing is wasting your time and energy. If you want to be helpful, move on from those reverted edits. - Walkazo 16:49, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

An issue with another user
Hey, Walkazo, there's a problem with another user that I want to report on. Tailikku1 has a reputation for using bad sources and edit warring when it comes to translations, and he's received several warnings for this. Most recently, I noticed (and Bluesun definitely confirmed) that he was using Google Translate for the majority of his translations and maybe even most of them. Coupled with the attempts to revert perfectly-valid edits by Goolgerenade, I gave him a last warning and told him to remove any translations made through online translators. So far, he hasn't made any changes and hasn't said a single thing to either Bluesun or me about our accusations. Is there anything that can be done in this situation? Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Is he making up Japanese names (i.e. translating them from English), or just providing bad translations of legit Japanese names based on Google translate? I want to know exactly how much content we're gonna have to remove/fix before I give him a message emphasizing that if he doesn't respond and comply, he will be blocked (since ignoring requests to fix one's mistakes is as much a continued offence as making more bad edits, and eligible for further warnings/blocking as long as reasonable timeframes for responses are given). - Walkazo 12:15, 19 October 2015 (EDT)
- Tailikku wasn't just changing edits that he disagreed with, he undid edits where Goolgerenade also made other changes besides the translation and even edits where he didn't even touch the translation, and that's what I based part of my warning on. When it comes to the translations themselves, I'm inclined to believe that while the Japanese text is correct, Tailikku's translations are anything but. ボムへいスクランブル (Bob-omb X-ing) matches this video, and feeding it through Google Translate gives me "Bomb soldiers scramble," which is almost exactly what Tailikku wrote after undoing after undoing Gool's edit to change "Bomuhei" to Bob-omb. The same applies to なぞってクレヨン (Trace Race): video proof, translates to "The tracing in crayon," almost exactly what Tailikku wrote. For ボムへいパズル (Bob-omb Breakers): couldn't find video proof, but translates as "Bomb soldiers puzzle," exactly what he wrote. His Wario Land 2 translations seem to be, at the very least, not lifted from Google. 第2話 巨大じゃ口の せんをしめよう! (Turn off the giant faucet!): video proof, translates to "Let Shimeyo the line of the second episode giant 's mouth!," doesn't match at all. I'm not well-versed enough to properly examine the translations, but at the very least, it seems to be transcribed correctly. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Thanks for all the links. - Walkazo 13:32, 19 October 2015 (EDT)

- Update on Tailikku: he made a comment defending himself by saying that he also occasionally used a dictionary. I told him to actually start undoing edits, and so far, he has made two changes. One was for Baby Bowser Bonkers, from "Mini Koopa Bonking" to "Mini Koopa ???", and one was for Boo Repellent, from "Anti-Boo Spray" to "Boo Repellent Spray (yoke comes from mushiyoke, meaning bugspray)" though you've already looked at that one. It's something, I guess. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Thanks for the update. - Walkazo 20:38, 26 October 2015 (EDT)
- Second round of updates: I don't want to make a habit of telling you whenever Tailikku edits something, but this time, he made two changes: one to BOWSER's Big Blast and one to Face Lift. In both cases, he changed the translations from "Bowser" to "Koopa". Both translations were then modified completely by an IP. If I may be frank, Tailikku's done the opposite of what's been asked of him, further skewing the translation, and he makes a few edits once in a blue moon, which is a far cry from the dozens of edits he made before the last warning. In any case, I thought you should know.
- On a side note, Goolgenerade's modifying the SMA4 translations (but not entirely reverting them) quite a bit now: Swinging Bars of Doom, Piped Full of Plants, Koopa no Hikōsen Zenpen, and Vegetable Volley. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Great... - Walkazo 23:03, 7 November 2015 (EST)
Luweegee
Luweegee has been notified for adding unsourced or badly sourced statements and got a reminder for ignoring edits made to the Charles Martinet article. Luweege's only reaction is either to ignore my advice, act defensive, entitled, and hostile when reprimanded, and even resorted to flaming us. I gave this user a last warning since this conduct is unacceptable, but the user just made a personal jab at me. Clearly, this user isn't getting the memo, so I request some disciplinary action for this disruptive and discourteous user. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:06, 20 October 2015 (EDT)

Someone requested to change my password
I got an email notification stating that some from IP 72.50.81.21 (Puerto Rico) has tried to change my password. I don't live anywhere near from Puerto Rico. The person who tried to get my password seems to have been given a temporary password, which apparently he can use to freely mess with my account.
Here is the text from the email:
"Someone (probably you, from IP address 72.50.81.214) requested a reset of your password for Super Mario Wiki (<http://www.mariowiki.com/Main_Page>). The following user account is associated with this email address:
Username: Andymii
Temporary password: ***
This temporary password will expire in 7 days. You should log in and choose a new password now. If someone else made this request, or if you have remembered your original password, and you no longer wish to change it, you may ignore this message and continue using your old password."
I don't know how serious this is, but I'd though I'd tell you, since, 'ya know, your a bureaucrat. Should I do anything? --Andymii (talk) 15:51, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
- No, they don't have your password: when you go to the log in page, there's a "Forgotten your login details?" link, and if you click that, the only input it asks for in order for it to send the email is your username. - Walkazo 15:47, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
Okay, good. Thank you so much! --Andymii (talk) 15:51, 25 October 2015 (EDT)
RE: Template edit button
I didn't actually notice any changes to my userpage so I guess it's all fine. I guess that I could remove the '+' tab if that's necessary, although I do like having it there... I don't know, maybe I'll consider it.
In either case, I really like what you've been doing here. I am still genuinely interested in getting this feature implemented since the feature is so good. It doesn't matter that we need to put in the pagename every time we add the link since once it's done, editing the templates will become so much easier. In either case, I pretty much have the whole week off – could the adding of these be done over the week/weekend? You get to decide exactly how the workload should be split considering you did most of the work, by the way. I am not in a position where I can barter about this, I reckon. RandomYoshi( • PMs • ) 01:29, 27 October 2015 (EDT)
- That sounds lovely. Do you have an account somewhere that allows us to chat in real time? I feel like that would help tremendously so we both know exactly when to start. If you don't feel like giving out that information to the public, then you can always send me a PM on the forum about it. I don't know what timezone you live in, but my timezone is CET right now (Europe just left DST – hooray for different regions switching back/forth the clock at different times: it's so delightfully confusing) and so I don't know what your time is relative to mine. In either case, I guess I could stay up a little longer if it meant getting this stuff done. RandomYoshi( • PMs • ) 03:59, 28 October 2015 (EDT)
Change "More polls..." button
Could you please change the "More polls..." button to "Poll Archives" on the Main Page? The Poll Committee thinks that would be better, as the old one is quite misleading. However, we need an admin to change the Main Page. --Andymii (talk) 16:16, 1 November 2015 (EST)
- Howabout "Previous Polls..." - that way it's clear that it's not about more vote-able polls, but fits the pattern set by the FA box above it a bit closer than "Poll Archives". - Walkazo 16:33, 1 November 2015 (EST)
Sounds good to me. Let me ask the rest of the Poll Committee first, though; if it's good there, I'll tell you as soon as possible. --Andymii (talk) 16:38, 1 November 2015 (EST)

Pale Piranha
Hello! I've been a fan of PMTTYD since it was released on 2004. On that time I completed the game and filled my memory cards when I was 7. I wanted to ask you something: Can you give your explanation about the Pale Piranha?
It's absurd that regular Piranha Plants don't exist in this successful title. But still they actually exist in their regular coloration in the Audience.
The famous Piranha Plants. This colorless subspecies is adapted to Boggly Woods.
And about the Piranha Plant of the Pit of 100 Trials, they were probably colored like that so that there's an enemy that has the Piranha Plant's regular colors, and that may be the reason why they have the "Piranha Plant" name on the American version--to make an enemy have that name, while in Japan they are called Killer Piranhas. This may be another theory, since in Japan, there's less censoring than in the USA.
Well, I wanted to persuade that in PMTTYD, Piranha Plants exist. If you want we may discuss more about it. Thank you! :) --James Blonde (talk) 21:51, 4 November 2015 (EST)
- The tattle clearly states they're a type of Piranha Plant (with the overall "Piranha Plant" family conceivably being what she means is famous), and it's clearly visible that they're not regular Piranha Plants - hence the English localizers fixed the name, The Japanese game makers aren't perfect: sometimes, the translations make more sense, and in this case, they do. However, the "Killer Pakkun"'s tattle also explicitly states that it's not the regular Piranha Plan either, despite the English name, but in accordance with the Japanese name - the uniqueness of which was preserved in the other translations, so overall, the message is clearly that these aren't regular Piranha Plants. Hence, two separate articles, and no regular Piranha Plants in TTYD. The end. - Walkazo 19:41, 5 November 2015 (EST)
- But I didn't said that I want to merge Pale Piranha and Piranha Plant (PMTTYD) (or that the last mentioned species is the regular) together or merge both with the normal species. Don't be mad with me.
- But may I still state in the regular Piranha Plant page that they appear in the Audience because I see that this is true? Let's discuss later if you want, but don't be mad, I was trying to be nice. If you're not mad sorry, but I wanted to advice you, but someone else may know more right? I guess that only the NOA knows the truth... --James Blonde (talk) 12:11, 7 November 2015 (EST)
- I'm not mad, just not keen on discussing closed cases where all the arguments have already been stated and are readily available on the applicable proposals: I have limited free time most days, after all. Plus, people sometimes use "friendly chats" as a backdoor to restarting debates, so I wanted to make it clear that no merges were gonna be happening. Anyway, sure, feel free to add on their article that Piranha Plants do appear in the audience; while the stronger ones look identical, it doesn't seem unreasonable to say the audience members are the regular type rather than the Pit of 100 Trials-only enemy. - Walkazo 16:43, 7 November 2015 (EST)

Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition
In Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, there are a handful of "mash-up" enemies that are treated as separate entities than just the enemies themselves -- having their own stats, attacks, Skills, XP growth (and so on). For those reasons, would it be appropriate that separate articles be created for them? Here's a list of them:
- Blooper Nanny & Baby
- Blooper Nanny & Babies
- Wiggler & Flame Chomp
- Flutter & Flame Chomp
- Chain Chomp & Flame Chomp
- Chain Chomp & Flame Chomps
- Bullet Bill & Goomba
- Bullet Bill & Goombas
- 2-Goomba Tower
- 3-Goomba Tower
- Spiny Egg & Lakitu
- Double Lakitu
- Spiny Egg & Lakitu
- Blooper & Cheep Cheep
- Blooper & Cheep Cheeps
- Red Koopa Troopa & Cheep Cheep
- Dry Bones & Cheep Cheep
- Whomp & Boos
- Boo Trio (made up of three Boos)
- Boo Crew (made up of eight Boos)
Also, would it make any sense to create articles for the game's demo's two levels? Like all of the other levels in the full version, the enemies have their own XP/Coin drop amounts, Orb configurations and the like. I haven't seen anything that recommends against creating articles for demo levels, so I thought I'd bring this up, too. --Zootalo (talk) 12:31, 27 November 2015 (EST)
- The demo levels can get pages, but the mash-up enemies getting separate articles seems like overkill: just list all the combos and their stats in the respective articles/stats pages (so, List of Goomba profiles and statistics would have solo Goomba (if applicable), Bullet Bill & Goomba, and Bullet Bill & Goombas; meanwhile, Bullet Bill would have solo Bullet Bill (if applicable), and both Bullet Bill & Goomba, and Bullet Bill & Goombas). The only ones it might be worth giving articles to are the Boo ones with specific names, but that'd be up for debate. - Walkazo 13:31, 27 November 2015 (EST)
Ban appeal?
Hey, how would I contact a mod to appeal my ban? It's a little hard, when, y'know, I can't access my account. I'm also in a unique situation here, it's been almost 3 years since my ban and I legitimately, realy and truly, don't know the reason behind it. About the move I made
Hi, I just wanted to know if I do the move of Neo Bowser Castle to Neo Bowser Castle (Mario & Luigi: Dream Team) because of the location with the same name in Paper Jam to make a disambiguation page with the Neo Bowser Castle article. Do I do it correctly or should I leave it to Neo Bowser Castle and make a page called Neo Bowser Castle (disambiguation). I'm worried that I do something wrong.--(TALK) 20:37, 4 December 2015 (EST)
- Yeah, what you did is correct (only make separate "(disambiguation)"-titled pages when the plain name is in use as one of the articles), although rather than linking to the disamig page, the articleabouts on the two pages should just link directly to each other. - Walkazo 21:34, 4 December 2015 (EST)
- Thanks! I edit the articleabouts to make it link to the other use of it (link Dream Team Neo Castle to the Paper Jam Neo Castle)--(TALK) 22:13, 4 December 2015 (EST)
Mario & Luigi (series) image changing
Throughout the page's history, I.P. users repeatedly changed the the images since July 2015, even after being told twice to stop doing this, both in edit messages and formally on the I.P. talk page. The I.P.s didn't get the memo, though, so if these I.P.s edit war like that again, they need a block by one of you guys. Thanks. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 14:18, 6 December 2015 (EST)
- The IP changes over time so a single block won't help, and the edits aren't major vandalism so a range block isn't warranted, but I semi-protected the page, and that'll hopefully dissuade them. - Walkazo 14:52, 6 December 2015 (EST)

My Trophy proposal end with a No Quorum. This rule: Any proposal that has three votes or less at deadline will automatically be listed as "NO QUORUM." - You can copy and paste the content if you want as long as there's a new section with a new proposal beneath the intact, archived NO QUORUM one. But generally, a TPP managing to sputter and die despite getting two weeks to try and get votes indicates that there's something flawed with the idea: it's something not enough people care about or the arguments weren't clear enough, or something. It'd be worth re-examining and re-writing it. - Walkazo 17:03, 18 December 2015 (EST)

question about crediting
Hello, Walkazo. I have a question about crediting: User:Zootalo has imported some screenshots from RPGClassics for use on the page List of Surprise Boxes in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Via our email communication, Zootalo implies that he/she hasn't asked for RPGClassics's permission, and that it is ok to do so as long as credit is given (for "they can't really do a thing"). Is it really ok to do so? (I want to do this to my List of Star Pieces in Paper Mario, too.)

Gender-nuetralization and other help
The Poll Committee is trying to gender-nuetralize "chairman" to "chairperson" and "vice-chairman" to "vice-chairperson" here; thing is, none of us are able to adit it (even the two patrollers on our team), which is a bit odd, as the other archives are editable. I've noticed the archives are inconsistent; some are semi-protected, some are not protected at all, and one is locked.
Maybe you could just make all the poll archives semi-protected, for consistency purposes and so we can edit them? If not, could you at least make the wording change for us? Thanks! --Andymii (talk) 10:16, 21 December 2015 (EST)
- How often do you need to edit the archives? If it's a rare occurrence, you might just want the archives fully protected to ensure no one else can try to meddle - I (or other admins) would never mind making the occasional tweak for you (it's part of the job). But it's up to you guys: just let me know whether you'd prefer full or semi-protection for all the archives and I can set it up for you. In the meantime, I gender-neutralized the first archive already, just in case it stays protected. - Walkazo 17:01, 21 December 2015 (EST)

RE: Warning
Look the Yoshi876 example of reverting edits was only one time, check LudwigVon's edits and he was repeatedly doing that, and stop telling me that my editions are poor quality, you simply want to defend him, and I'VE NEVER ACCUSED ANYBODY ELSE OF THE SAME THING, just made it with LudwigVon. I've never posted something in Mario jc's wall, and I'm not making war, it's just TRUE. And what's more if I had low-quality edits, I would already have been advised, and thus you're really disrespecting me (in the Pale Piranha thingie and right now) you just said bad things about me in my wall and in L151's. --James Blonde (talk) 18:49, 26 December 2015 (EST)
- But the disagree isn't the reason why I was angry; the reason was simple: I don't like what you think about me and my edits, and I don't get why are they worse; I just rewrote it in another way, since I investigated about enemies in my memorable gameplays, but now as I see I've been displeased. I'm currently 23 and my newborn children may get interested in my work: employee in the NOA. I've been discussing similar problems many years before these things but I have a good heart and I just wanted to be respected ever since the founding of the wiki almost a decade ago. I don't know to who I must talk to but you seemingly know more, I almost cried because it was Christmas, and one of the key people may know much more than a vandal who was about to get discharged this afternoon. This was by far the closest point if compared to my previous accounts, generation from generation.

PDSMBE Course Map page
I created a Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition page that lists the layouts for each course -- how many battles take place, branching paths (which can be two or three), and so on -- but the page just chokes with the hundreds of images on each table that has a course's "layout". Beyond just inserting the course maps on the respective level pages, any suggestions on how to make the course maps themselves look less sloppy? --Zootalo (talk) 23:30, 26 December 2015 (EST)
- Well, first of all, I recommend making them a fixed pixel width rather than 50%, since in narrower screens, some of the maps with lots of levels are getting too compressed. - Walkazo 23:50, 26 December 2015 (EST)
James Blonde
Ma'am, I think this guy should be indefblocked instead of just for 2 weeks, given how intense his FUCK YOU message was to LudwigVon, especially with the warnings he received prior to his block. Drilly the Hedgehog 14:50, 28 December 2015 (EST)
- Don't tell me how to do my job - especially when you get your facts wrong, since he only got one warning (which I gave him), not a plurality. Seeing as he was also slandering me, it might've looked like retaliation on my part to jump straight to a permaban, so I played it safe. Nevertheless, I was on the fence about it either way, and continue to mull it over, but your unsolicited advice doesn't help me, and is actually frowned upon. Whatever happens in the end, it's none of your concern. - Walkazo 15:05, 28 December 2015 (EST)
- I didn't realize he only received 1 warning; I thought he received the first warning, followed by a last warning. Apologies. Drilly the Hedgehog 22:28, 28 December 2015 (EST)
- Nah, I skipped the Last Warning step: the trolling was definitely too much for just that. Anyway, he ended up ban-evading (I sorta figured he would), so I just blocked him permanently for his continued transgressions. - Walkazo 01:33, 29 December 2015 (EST)

Promotion/Demotion
Hi, Is there a place somewhere that I could know about users who got promoted or demoted. Because I need to know that for an example for my application at the 'Shroom.--(TALK) 13:43, 29 December 2015 (EST)
- MarioWiki:Administrators, and the related Patroller, Bureaucrat and Autopatrolled pages have lists of the current and former admins (the latter all being in the Autopatrolled rank); you can also get those lists straight from Special:ListUsers (using the Group feature). There's also the User rights changes log, which will also give you the comments and dates for everyone's promotions/demotions, but is messy to read through. Userpedia summarizes the info decently well on its Sysop, 'Crat and Patroller articles for all past and current staff members, although the Patrollers page is the only one that's complete since the other two only have promotion or demotion info, but not both, if users have been promoted/demoted multiple times (mainly due to periods of inactivity). - Walkazo 14:07, 29 December 2015 (EST)

Sandbox
- About the sandbox, whenever I test stuff there, I just do previews, but I never save the tests at all. I only wanted users to have a clean area to test out the wiki commands for themselves, but I probably should've realized that people would actually save the edits instead of just showing a preview. Blargg
I made a draft for the Blargg page on my sandbox. Do it look good now? I removed the line (Super Mario series, Yoshi series) since it only appear in one game from each series and remove the "Sub-species" since it's suppose to be derived species and they also appear on the infobox.--(TALK) 13:25, 31 December 2015 (EST)
- Looks good, except the one line in the opening should read "Yoshi's Story
show[depicts] them asbeing anything fromblob-like beings with large mouths, [small] arms and beady eyesto humanoid, limbed creatures (like some derived species).[, while numerous other games involve an assortment of similarly blob-like derived species.]" - Walkazo 13:53, 31 December 2015 (EST)- I made this change. Done.--(TALK) 14:16, 31 December 2015 (EST)
