Hinopio is an enigmatic Toad who lives in Barrel Volcano. Despite the Volcanoes horrific conditions Hinopio seems to be perfectly comfortable in it, having even set up a small shop/inn inside of it, as seen in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Trivia
On a shelf in the back of Hinopio's room there are toy models of Captain Falcon's F-Zero car and two Arwings from the Star Fox series.
Hinopio's name is similar to Toad's Japanese name: Kinopio.
