The players need to cut half (50:50) of their steak (or get as close to half as possible) in 10 seconds in 3 rounds; there’s one steak per round. There are different steaks making hard to indicate what is half of it. The team with the most (nearly) perfect steaks wins.
In each of the three rounds, both players on each team hold one end of a knife and have 10 seconds to move left and right and align the knife so that the steak is split as close as possible into equal halves. Each steak has varying shapes. After time runs out, the players cut the steak. The team with more steaks closest to 50:50 splits wins.

Prime Cut is a 2-vs.-2 minigame found in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Its name is a pun on an idiom that means "of the best quality."

Introduction

A steak is shown being grilled outdoors on an iron grill.

Gameplay

In each of the three rounds, both players on each team hold one end of a knife and have 10 seconds to move left and right and align the knife so that the steak is split as close as possible into equal halves. Each steak has varying shapes. After time runs out, the players cut the steak. The team with more steaks closest to 50:50 splits wins.

Prime Cut results from Super Mario Party Jamboree.
Mario and Toadette have cut more evenly than Donkey Kong and Wario.
