Type 4-Player minigame

Sled to the Edge is a 4-Player minigame found in Super Mario Party Jamboree.[1]

Introduction

Two Toads are sledding, with the Toad on the top letting the Cooligan go a bit later than the other, resulting in him falling into the water and the bottom Toad stopping before the edge, like in minigame introductions in Mario Party: Island Tour that involve players being eliminated. The screen then pans to the players, who are also seen sledding.

Gameplay

This minigame is very similar in gameplay to Gimme a Brake from Mario Party 7. Players are pulled on their sleds by Cooligans along the ice and attempt to let go so that the resulting inertia causes their sleds to stop as close to the edge as possible. If a player lets go too late and sleds past the edge, they fall into the water, resulting in an automatic loss. The player who is the nearest to the edge without falling off wins. If a player stops very close to the edge but does not fall off, they earn the "At the Last Second!" achievement.

Ending

As the distances to the edge are tallied up, the players still on the ice wave at the screen. The screen then fades to white and back to the players, now standing on the ice, where the winning players do their winning animations, while the losing players do their losing animations behind them.
