A Spring Jump is a move done on Trampolines in the Super Mario series and Mario vs. Donkey Kong series
Super Mario series
Super Mario Bros.
In Super Mario Bros. a Spring Jump can be done by pressing A with timing on a Jumping Board. This allows Mario to jump over large gaps and walls.
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
In Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels a Spring Jump can be done on both the returning Jumping Board and the new green Super Spring. The Super Spring makes Mario or Luigi jump so high that they cannot be seen on screen. World 7-3 and World C-3 require this mechanic extensively.
