Metal doors,[1] also referred to as steel shutters[2] or shutter doors,[2] are objects in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and its Game Boy Advance remake, appearing in the mill stages Doorstop Dash and Squeals on Wheels. Metal doors can be opened only by triggering another mechanism: In Doorstop Dash, ceiling handles open metal doors briefly, and in Squeals on Wheels, defeating every nearby Sneek on a wheel opens them permanently. Metal doors in Doorstop Dash also have a wide gear at the top not present in the latter. A metal door pushes back the Kongs slightly on contact.
