Icon for the Candies in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

Max Candies are consumables in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. They are star-shaped items that can be eaten by either Mario or Luigi. Upon being consumed, Max Candies restore all of their consumer's Heart Points and Bros. Points, similar to the Star Candies of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a few enemies and bosses can drop them after a battle: Wiggler has a 30% chance, Pi'illodactyl R's and Shy Guy Airtub R's have an 20% chance, Antasmunchies have a 2% chance, and Mechakoopas have a 1% chance.

Additionally, if a Great! rating or worse is scored in Sorrow Fist's battle, or if Heavy Zest manages to survive for more than 3 turns, everyone gets Max Candies. If Heavy Zest is knocked down but his Hooraws are still active, he gets a 1-Up Deluxe instead.
