The game play's just like [[Bobsleigh]], though the game is actually now a race (unlike Bobsleigh). The game first starts with shaking the [[Wii Remote]], then pressing {{button|wii|A}} when A appears on screen. When the game's race starts, the player must do something other than stay on the Gold Track in Bobsleigh; they must collect as much multicolored balls as they can to accelerate and gain points. The player can guide the bobsled anywhere around the 360 underwater tube (or in space for phase 2). Obstacles (such as Spikes) are shown to take away multicolored balls. Item's can give the player a speed boost (such as the Sonic Shoes) or take away multicolored balls (like the Thunder).

Hitting walls, snowmen or getting attacked depletes health, and if any player loses all its health, they are disqualified. When the meter gauge on the right is full, the player may press {{button|ds|R}} to boost. Pressing {{button|ds|L}} rotates the sleigh. If the Sleigh is facing the front (the way it starts aka the black part on the front), the player will not spin out of they hit a snowmen or take more damage, but will not go as fast as if the sleigh had the black part facing backwards. In other words, if the sleigh is facing backwards, they will gain speed, but take more damage from snowmen.

Gameplay[edit]

in this event, the player starts by swinging the Wii Remote downwards. Doing so with perfect timing will grant the player a small speed boost, however doing so too early will cause the player to have a delayed start. The balls will temporarily disappear after being collected, but will eventually respawn. The course also features several Dash Panels, which give the player a speed boost when passed over. The player will lose some colored balls if they hit the spikes or fan blades found along the course, which will cause their current total of colored balls to halve. Each fan has three blades, though the blades will disappear when they are hit. Item Boxes also appear along the course, which the player can collect to obtain an item. The items can be used by pressing B Button, and have a number of effects:

  • Fake Item Box: Places a Fake Item Box behind the player on the course that causes characters who run into it to lose speed. Can be blocked using a Super Star or Barrier.
  • High Speed Shoes: Grants the player a speed boost for a short amount of time.
  • Barrier: Indefinitely protects the player from one hit.

After leaving the tunnel, the player can shake the Wii Remote up and down to accelerate for the final stretch of the race. The competitor that reaches the end of the course in the fastest time wins the event.
