Well, this is a long time coming. This article deals with the issue regarding Super Toad's reason to be an article in the first place. #Kirbeat I support merging this with Fire Mario by the reasons stated in the proposal. About the redirect, Super Yellow Toad, Super Blue Toad, Super Peach, Super Rosalina and Super Toadette are redirects to Super Mario (form) that exist (see Mario (form)) and I presume that that is because those are terms that can be used to refer to the form that those characters take after gulping a Super Mushroom; in SM3DW, our "Small Rosalina" can munch a Sup Shroom, and with that she will take the form of "Super Rosalina", thus why does that redirect exist, and so on with the other characters in the games that apply. And well, that same thing can be applied to our Toad guy; in SMB2, SM3DW, SMR and SMM2 there is "Small Toad" and "Super Toad". While the TV series' Super Toad is something that exist, and the "Super Toad" term can be applied to both the Super form of Toad in platforming games and to that TV series' Fire Toad one, I think that if Super Toad is a redirect to Fire Mario, it would be giving more weight to the TV series' Super Toad than the platforming games' one, and sincerely, at least to me the platforming series' Super Toad is much more relevant and has much more weight than the TV series' one. So, if Super Toad becomes a redirect, it should be to Super Mario (form) as that would be in line with the platforming games' Super Toad, which has way more weight and is much more relevant than the TV series' Super Toad.<br> I have thought about the disambiguation possibility brought up below, specially by seeing that Super Luigi is a disambig too instead of a redirect to Super Mario (form), but as Super Toad only refers to two topics, I think that a disambiguation wouldn't be so relevant. I still agree with making Super Toad a disambig though, more than making it a redirect to Fire Mario, but I'd prefer way more making it a redirect to Super Mario (form) and placing on top of the page a redirect or redirect-distinguish acknowledging the TV series' Super Toad, which is what is already done for Super Princess anyways. | |||

:Yeah, as I said, I think a disambig page is in order? Some people are going to see the Super Toad fire form, some people might see the Super Toad form in the games, so I think there should be a disambig for this; after all, Super Mario has one, and that page does list the fire form from the show. It's that the Super Toad article deals with mostly the fire form in the show currently and has done so for a while. 18:20, May 3, 2022 (EDT) | :Yeah, as I said, I think a disambig page is in order? I don't think this should be merged. It's a form of Toad, just like Fire Mario's a form of Mario; we aren't going to merge those two articles, are we? YELLOWYOSHI398
It seems really minor. I mean, it appeared in 1 episode. Max2 (talk)
- Yes, but there were also characters (such as Zero) that only appeared in one episode, too, and certain in-game forms (like Superball Mario) who only appeared in one game; I hope their pages don't get merged into anything. I suppose I don't have the greatest reason to stop this page from being merged, but I am indeed opposed to the merge as I think it does indeed merit an article. I think I could get some support with that... YELLOWYOSHI398
well, fine. Give it some time for others to decide. Max2 (talk)
This is article worthy, IMO -- Booster
I think it could stay.Knife (talk) 22:28, 28 June 2007 (EDT)
What are you talking about, the article is too minor to stay as one. Zero was a whole character, not a form.
Sorry, but I am Confused 01:04, 29 June 2007 (EDT)
Why does this page need to exist?[edit]
Super Toad is the same as all other "Super" characters in the Super Show except he (maybe) shoots Great Balls of Fire. Grandet Omate (talk) 12:37, June 30, 2020 (EDT)
- "Super" Mario and Luigi also are able to shoot fireballs in the Super Show. This doesn't seem to be any different from them so it should be merged to the Fire Mario page. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:40, June 30, 2020 (EDT)
- Does this need a page? Some say yes and some say no. I would think this page should get merged. Benjaminkirsc (talk) 07:19, November 29, 2020 (EST)

Merge with Fire Mario and turn into redirect for Super Mario (form) 11-7-0
Well, this is a long time coming. This article deals with the issue regarding Super Toad's reason to be an article in the first place. For context, this is literally the Super Show!'s equivalent of Fire Toad. When it comes to power-up form pages in general, we usually just put them in the same article as "X-form Mario". The Fire Mario page does not split the various different characters that have the Fire Power and Toad should be no different.
As for what we do, this proposal suggests we move this to the section of the Fire Mario page that covers the appearance in that show. The Super Toad name could actually be turned into a redirect for Super Mario as we do have the Toads in the Super Mario games but we do acknowledge the Super Toad name at the top of the article and link it to that section to Fire Mario's article.

Merge with Fire Mario and turn into redirect for Super Mario[edit]
- Wikiboy10 (talk) This is my first choice.
- Hewer (talk) I didn't know this was split nor do I have any idea why it is so per proposal.
- Waluigi Time (talk) It's been a long time coming.
- Arend (talk) Makes the most sense. I also think it makes more sense to have "Super Toad" as a redirect to the Super Mario form for the reasons stated above, plus that the Super Peach and Super Toadette redirects exist for the same reason.
- RHG1951 (talk) I think it's more likely that people want to see the conventional Super form of Toad when they search "Super Toad" rather than this form which only appears in one episode of the Super Show.
- Archivist Toadette (talk) First choice, per my massive proposal to merge Bowser's forms. I feel that Bazooka Mario's argument is rather incomplete, and may not address the fact that Toad's Super form may currently itself be called "Super Toad".
- TheFlameChomp (talk) I definitely support merging this article. Regarding the name, though, I feel like readers who search "Super Toad" are more likely to be looking for the common form from the games rather than a form that appeared once in the show, so I think redirecting this to the Super Mario (form) article and adding a Redirect template that links to the section on the Fire Mario article with the relevant information is a preferable way to deal with this.
- ShootingStar7X (talk) It'd be inconsistent and potentially confusing if the aforementioned Super Peach and Super Toadette redirect to Super Mario (form) while Super Toad redirects to Fire Mario.
- Alexo (talk) Changed; per Arend and ShootingStar7X.
- Kirbeat (talk) I support merging this with Fire Mario by the reasons stated in the proposal. About the redirect, Super Yellow Toad, Super Blue Toad, Super Peach, Super Rosalina and Super Toadette are redirects to Super Mario (form) that exist (see Special:WhatLinksHere/Super Mario (form)) and I presume that that is because those are terms that can be used to refer to the form that those characters take after gulping a Super Mushroom; in SM3DW, our "Small Rosalina" can munch a Sup Shroom, and with that she will take the form of "Super Rosalina", thus why does that redirect exist, and so on with the other characters in the games that apply. So, if Super Toad becomes a redirect, it should be to Super Mario (form) as that would be in line with the platforming games' Super Toad, which has way more weight and is much more relevant than the TV series' Super Toad.
I have thought about the disambiguation possibility brought up below, specially by seeing that Super Luigi is a disambig too instead of a redirect to Super Mario (form), but as Super Toad only refers to two topics, I think that a disambiguation wouldn't be so relevant. - DannyTheDingo (talk) Per RHG and Kirbeat.
Merge with Fire Mario but have the redirect link to the Fire Mario section[edit]
1.Wikiboy10 (talk) This is my second choice.
- Bazooka Mario (talk) Currently working on the Fire Mario page, and I think it's more appropriate to redirect what's pretty clear a fire form to that page.
- Swallow (talk) Would make more sense to redirect to where the relevant information is.
- Somethingone (talk) Per Bazooka.
- Mario4Ever (talk) Per Bazooka Mario.
- Tails777 (talk) Per Bazooka Mario.
- Ray Trace (talk) per Bazooka Mario
- Sdman213 (talk) per Bazooka Mario.
Leave the article as it is[edit]
Comments[edit]
At this rate I think this should be a disambig page between the Super form and the Fire form shown in the show. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 20:48, April 27, 2022 (EDT)
- Waluigi Time also notes above that "Super Mario" is also the name of the Fire form in the show. Additionally, there's a disambiguation page for Super Mario that lists that iteration of Super Mario (to be fair "Super Mario" has a lot more iterations than "Super Toad"). Disambiguation page seems to be the way to go for consistency. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 21:45, April 27, 2022 (EDT)
We should probably do the same thing for the Super Princess page, too. Alexo (talk) 23:05, April 27, 2022 (EDT)
- Yeah, and it should pertain to Invincible Mario form I'm assuming? This one doesn't shoot fire. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 23:29, April 27, 2022 (EDT)
@Bazooka Mario: Regarding your argument, isn't Toad's Super form currently called "Super Toad"? I'll check the guides I own at a later time, but I'm pretty sure that is indeed the case. (T|C) 18:45, April 28, 2022 (EDT)
- I don't see why not, hence why I suggested a disambiguation page in a similar way Super Mario is done. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 20:42, April 28, 2022 (EDT)
@Bazooka Mario: I actually feel kind of dumb now but in Super Mario Maker 2, Toad is a playable character in that game where it does make the distinction between the Super and Fire forms. They do indeed have names. Wikiboy10 (talk)
