Bazzas are long, green barracuda-like fish enemies appearing in both Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. In the SNES version, they can only be found in one level, aptly named Bazza's Blockade; in the Game Boy Advance remake, they also appear in several Pacifica levels, including Stormy Seas, Sunken Spruce and Ripcurl Reef. According to the game's credits, Bazzas belong to the "Aquatic Attackers" enemy class.
Bazzas live in the holes of the coral reefs, of which an indefinite number continuously swims in and out of from one side to the other. In this regard, they are essentially the aquatic equivalent of Swoopies and Lemguins, which are other enemies with similar attack patterns. They can also use tree trunks and large broken branches as hideouts, as shown in Sunken Spruce. Dixie or Kiddy Kong must avoid Bazzas, else it bites them. These enemies can only be defeated by Enguarde, and must usually be avoided.
In Donkey Kong Land III, Bazzas appear in all three coral levels: Seabed Shanty, Coral Quarrel, and Deep Reef Grief.
