Greater location | Space Opera Network |
Inhabitants | Rabbids Sydney Rabbidwhacker Victor |
The Western Set is a location in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, exclusively in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC. It is part of the Space Opera Network.
The heroes travel to the Western Set to help the Phantom boost the ratings of the network. They are then tasked by the Phantom to destroy all of the bandit cardboard cutouts. After doing so, the heroes have a showdown with the bandits' leader, Sydney Rabbidwhacker, and defeat him in battle. After the battle, the Western Set is saved.
Layout
The Western Set consists of a row of buildings, similar to how Western towns are depicted. In these buildings are cardboard cutouts of bandits that Rayman can punch. A Teleport Flag is found close to the entrance to this set. After the The Western Set main Quest is completed, Victor will appear by the entrance and have a "Cutout Punchout" challenge for the heroes.
A Squashette is guarding a treasure chest containing the Operatic Blaster Weapon Skin for Rayman.

The show using this set is entitled The Ballad of Plungerhands McMurdy. A typical episode involves the titular character strolling into a small town looking for respite, only to tangle with a greedy "indoor plumbing baron". Galaxy Confidential called it "adequately entertaining", and gave the show its "Nice To Have On In The Background" Award (honorable mention).
