Fire Snakes[1], also known as Flames[2], are jumping flames that so far have only appeared in Super Mario World, in the level Outrageous, where only eight of them appear. They are based on the original Fire Snake from Super Mario Bros. 3, but they appear as small flames hopping towards Mario, leaving smaller fires in their wake. These flaming serpents can be eaten by Yoshi, and destroyed with a Cape or a Super Star. They can also be safely bounced on with a Spin Jump.
