Template:Species-infobox Kocos are clown-faced fish that are found in the waters of the Northern Kremisphere. Kocos first appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! They are one of the most common underwater enemies. Kocos bear a resemblance to Cheep-Cheeps of the Mario series. Kocos, like Cheep-Cheeps, come in the colors red and green and swim in a set pattern depending on color. Green Kocos remain completely still, while the red variety either swims forward without stopping, or will simply swim forward a small amount and turn around.
Kocos can only be defeated with the aid from Enguarde the Swordfish or Nibbla. In the level, "Fish Food Frenzy", feeding Nibbla Kocos improves its mood. According to the game's credits, Kocos belong to the "Aquatic Attackers" enemy class.
Kocos also reappear in Donkey Kong Land III. They remain basically the same in this appearance as the previous one. Two Kocos appear on the game's box art.
