The Bone Piranha Plant is a subspecies of Piranha Plant debuting in New Super Mario Bros. 2.[1] It is a bony version of the Piranha Plant, with a greyish "skull", green-gray lips, holes rather than spots, vertebrae instead of a stalk, and greyish leaves. Even with these graphic changes, its attack patterns are the same as those of a regular Piranha Plant, however, unlike normal Piranha Plants, they are immune to fireballs. These enemies are only found in Fortresses.
