In the first part, the player has to overcome some Snapjaws that fall from vines to get to the second part, where Yoshi encounters a Nep-Enut (the only one in the game) and several platforms where he must jump. Then, there is a part where Yoshi has to get on a raft to avoid falling into the river while enemies attack him. If he did, a Lunge Fish would swallow him almost instantly, making Yoshi lose a life. Then, after the raft falls off a waterfall, a self-scrolling part will follow in which Yoshi has to get to the top of another waterfall.
