Hello Yello! I am Paper Plumm, a writer for the Shroom’s Critic Corner. I made a New Year’s resolution this year to become more involved in the communities I care about, and gosh darn it I’m going to stick to the resolution! So, I figure I’ll throw my hat into the ring for the chairperson and really get myself out there. Unfortunately, I’m not really close to anyone personally on the Mario Wiki that I would reasonably assume would want to do so, so I don’t have anyone for a good Vice-Chairperson. However, don’t let that count you out of giving me your vote. I'm a member of my high school class office of which the other officers of said class oftentimes don't show up for important events, so I have become very familiar with picking up the extra work and balancing all sorts of different roles to fill in their places. As such, with those skills, I'm confident I'll be fine without one and you should be too! In terms of other key qualities, I consider myself pretty creative and enthusiastic so rest assured the polls will not grow stale under my watch! Additionally, outside of my monthly Shroom’ review, I'm not involved in anything else here, thus I have a lot of free time on my hands so I can focus a large part of my efforts on these polls rather than leave them as a side project. Lastly, I am thoroughly knowledgeable on much of Mario history so you can expect a lot more deeper cut polls as well, rather than just mainstream Mario polls.
As for my goals:
- Ensure there is a safe and positive working environment for all poll crafters.
- Ensure the polls made are unique and fun.
- Ensure high quality Poll Committee Discussion and Awards Analysis articles are made.
- Making a wacky yet well associated April Fool’s poll.
- Organising a smooth and successful transition of poll power to the Awards Committee.
While these aren’t particularly ambitious, I don’t think the Poll System is in need of any drastic overhauls to its current system. However, I do promise to keep these Polls just as good as they always are. Anyways I hope everyone has a great rest of their frosty February and vote Paper Plumm for some EEEMO goals…Oh Illicium verum, in hindsight I should have realised that’s a bad acronym, sighhh. Wait, wait, I can make this work. Ahem. So kids, if you want to vote for someone with some cool, edgy and angsty goals, (My apologies to my cringing mind and the Emo community for this bad joke) vote Paper Plumm for Poll Chairperson and as always drive safely, it's icey out there or maybe it's not where you are, it's still really cool to drive safely.
