Plot synopsis[edit]
The video starts with Aiden, who tells the viewer that he is going to teach the process of trial and error and how it could be used to make a Super Mario Maker 2 course. Aiden then starts building a course by placing Ground blocks, with one set of blocks being harder to reach. On the lower set of blocks, he places a Twister but he does not like the outcome, so he puts a down a ? Block with a Super Mushroom inside but still is not able to reach the higher platform, so he places two trampolines and a couple Hard Blocks, which is successful. He then continues creating the course and putting down enemies and more trampolines while explaining trial and error. When he is almost done, he says he is going to end the level in an "epic" way but he wants to keep it as a surprise at the end. He then finishes his course and invites his friends, Elsie and Ryder, to play the course. Elsie then plays the course, and struggles at a point where she cannot reach the other platform. She then figures out to dash and jumps and reaches the other platform. Aiden pauses the video and explains how Elsie used trial and error to reach the platform. After more playing, Elsie reaches the checkpoint and the "epic finale", but she fails at the last jump and is reminded to dash. She then dashes at the end and clears the course. The video ends with Aiden asking the viewer if they liked the course he made and everyone says goodbye.

Watch a Mario course in the making! Aiden is a Mario-loving kid who's making his course in the Super Mario Maker 2 game, and he's learning all about trial and error. Follow along as he figures out how to add items and create fun challenges that get Mario running and jumping. For the ultimate test, his friend needs to complete the course on her own. She'll have to use her critical thinking skills to win - can she make it?
