Template:Level Mainbrace Mayhem is the second level of the game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. It is also located on the Gangplank Galleon.

This is the first rigging level of the game. The Kongs are introduced to two new enemies in this level. These enemies include Click-Clacks and Klingers, whom they constantly meet as they climb up the masts. Being an early level, it shouldn't give the Kongs all that much trouble. The enemies that return in this level are Neeks and Klomps. Krunchas also appear in this level, exclusively in Donkey Kong Land 2.

At the start of the level, the Kongs must go east and walk up across the ship's yard, where a rope is found. The monkeys should climb up and then travel west, avoiding a few enemies. A bunch of ropes are at the end of the yard, and Diddy and Dixie must climb up on them to get the next part of the level, where they go east again. From there, they must climb across another group of ropes. There is a Klinger sliding on these ropes, so the monkeys should be careful. Afterward, they need to climb up a rope the a higher part of the ship's yard, where a Star Barrel is found. Halfway through the level, the Kongs have to move west, where a long line of Neeks are running around. The Kongs can easily beat them all if they throw the nearby barrel at them, which rolls down the whole yard and knocks them all off. The primates then must go up to rope and go east where there is a whole large group of ropes. They must carefully climb across them, without getting hit by a Klinger. When they are safely at the top of the next sail, the Kongs must simply travel west and jump on the next rope leading up. On the ropes, the are many Klingers, and the heroes must carefully go east across all the ropes, trying not to get hit. Finally, the end of the level is right at the end of these ropes, and the monkeys can finish the level by hitting the End of Level Target.

Donkey Kong Land 2

The level begins on a yard that is connected to a large mast. Another yard is ahead higher up with a DK Barrel and a Click-Clack on it. After passing a barrel in the same area, the heroes find a third yard just past a small gap. This yard is tilted upwards. A few Neeks march on it. A set of ropes is ahead near a few more years that stick out of the side of the screen. One banana is on each of the two yards. If the Kongs climb up the ropes, they can reach a fourth full yard with more bananas and a Click-Clack on it. There is another yard just ahead, but a Zinger is on the edge of it. The letter K is also above the Zinger. If they dodge the insect, they can continue along the area and pass a Click-Clack. After they reach the end of an additional yard with another Click-Clack on it, they can find more ropes to climb up on. Bananas line the left side of the ropes, which lead to a yard with another Click-Clack on it. A tilted yard is next to this with a few Neeks and a DK Barrel on it. There are two additional yards placed on the other side of this platform. The bottom one leads to the letter O and some ropes that can be climbed to reach the DK Coin. Klingers climb along these ropes. The top yard can assist the heroes in jumping to a set of ropes that they can climb up to reach a tightrope connected to two masts. Bananas are all along the rope. A yard supporting the Star Barrel sticks out of the end of the screen.

From here, the Kongs can find a platform connected to a mast to their right. It can help them reach a long, tilted yard with some Neeks and a DK Barrel on it. There are two more yards at the top of this platform. While the yard on the right leads to a rope that can be traveled down to reach a Bonus Barrel, the left yard can help them progress to a larger set of ropes that they can climb upwards on. Click-Clacks and Neeks also walk along the yards. A Klinger attacks the primates as they climb the ropes. At the top of the ropes, they can notice another yard with a Neek on it. If they cross this yard, they can find an additional yard and a tightrope that they can climb along to reach some collectibles and the letter N. A long set of ropes can be found at the other side of the previously mentioned yard. It is infested with Klingers, but also has a few bananas on it. When the ropes are climbed, a yard with a pair of Krunchas and the letter G can be found. There is a platform connected to a wooden mast on the other side of it. If the heroes progress from here, they can reach another yard with a spring on it. They complete the level when they bounce on the spring.

K-O-N-G Letters

Bonus Levels

  • The first Bonus Level is near the very beginning of the level. Dixie Kong must be the Kongs in the lead and look for a group of bananas making the shape of an arrow. She must then use her Helicopter Twirl to flutter off the yard and move through the air in the direction of the arrow, where she should see some ropes to climb on. To the right of the ropes is a Bonus Barrel, which she can go in to go to the Bonus Level. There, Dixie and Diddy need to climb up a series of ropes until they reach the Kremkoin and complete the Bonus Level.
  • The second Bonus Level is hidden in a cannon. Right where the Star Barrel is found, the primates must pick up a kannonball and carry it across the mast. At the end of the mast, there is a cannon. When they put the ball in the cannon, it glows, meaning that they can go in it. The cannon shoots them into the Bonus Level, where they beat some Klingers who are sliding on ropes above the Kongs. The two monkeys must use the crates and kannonballs around them to defeat all the enemies. Afterward, the Kremkoin appears, and the heroes win the Bonus Level.
  • The final Bonus Level is on a ship yard far west of the end of the level. The Kongs must use their Team-up move to reach the barrel. Once in the Bonus Level, the Kongs must climb up and down some ropes, collecting many stars. Once all of the stars are collected, the Kremkoin appears and they complete the Bonus Level.

DK Coin

  • This DK Coin is hidden above the level's exit. The Kongs need to use their Team-up move to reach it, as jumping won't make them go high enough. Also, they can get the coin if they travel on the ship's yard that is east of the third Bonus Barrel.

Golden Feather (GBA Only)

  • To find the Golden Feather, the Kongs need to be on the group of ropes where the letter O is found. West of that letter icon, there is a hidden yard. The primates must jump on the yard. There are two Banana Coins, and in between them is the Golden Feather.

K-O-N-G Letters

  • K: The letter K is above the first Zinger in the level, who is on the first full yard.
  • O: The letter O is on the yard located right above the DK Coin.
  • N: Shortly before the second-to-last yard, which has two Krunchas on it, the heroes can find a tightrope that they can climb across to find a few collectibles floating in the air. If they jump to them, they fall down to a yard with the letter N on it.
  • G: The letter G is on the second-to-last yard in the level between two Krunchas.

Bonus Level(s)

  • Starting from the Star Barrel, the Kongs must climb east up to a nearby yard, which is crooked. As they go up, they need to jump on to the next, still going in the same direction. Once near the end of that yard, the primates should jump down to the rope under them. There are some bananas to the left, which they need to jump to. As they fall, the Kongs land in the Bonus Barrel. In the Bonus Level, they must move across several ropes, collecting twenty stars on their way. When all the objects are obtained, a Kremkoin appears for the Kongs to get.

DK Coin

  • Starting from the letter O, the Kongs must jump down from the yard and get on the ropes below. While watching out for Klingers, they should see the DK Coin to the right. The Kongs must simply jump off the rope to grab it, and then land on the yard below.
