Template:Level Gangplank Galley is the third level of the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. It is located on the Gangplank Galleon, the game's first world.

Not only does this level bring back Zingers, it also introduces Kaboings and Krunchas. There are hooks as well that the Kongs can grapple on to, along with tall stacks of barrels for them to climb. Both of this level's Bonus Areas and its DK Coin are located towards the top, so climbing upwards wherever it's possible isn't a bad idea. The water in the background strangely appears to be green, and there are several barrels for the Kongs to jump on to get bananas and other goodies.

Donkey Kong Country 2

From the start of the level, the Kongs must travel east, defeating the few Kremlings in their way. They must jump on some barrels at some point to reach a higher ledge on the ship. Nearby, there is a hook with the letter K next to it. The monkeys can swing on that hook to get it. Farther on, they need to avoid more enemies until they reach the Star Barrel.

Halfway through the level, the Kongs must continue on east. They can climb to the top of a pile of barrels to get the letter N, though while watching out for the Krusha nearby. Then, they should come up to a big gap in the ship. The heroes must swing on a hook to get to the other side. After that, they should pass a pile of barrels with Krushas in the way. Once they are passed, the monkeys must cross a very large gap using two hooks, finding an Invincibility Barrel to attack all the enemies they touch. The Kongs can zoom east and beat every enemy in their path, then cross a large gap using three hooks to swing on. Right after that is the end of the level.

Donkey Kong Land

From the start of this level, the Kongs must go east, passing several piles of barrels and fighting Neeks on their way. Eventually, they should be able to jump on some barrels to reach the letter K. As they continue, there are more Neeks and one Kremling to defeat, until the group has to jump across a small gap on the ship, which has an Extra Life Balloon floating in between it. From there, they should move on forward and grab on to a hook, then hop off to get the letter O. The monkeys will then need to fall quite far and land on a barrel. Once they climb off the boxes, they must cross a large abyss, using three floating hooks above it. When it is finally crossed, the group must move on east and get into the Rambi Box, turning them into Rambi. Once this is done, the monkeys should break open the Star Barrel nearby.

Halfway through the level, Rambi needs to continue going right, defeating many Neeks on his way. He can also get onto a pile of barrels and reach the letter N. He must then enter a barrel, which can shoot him up to a high area on the ship. The animal needs to keep on traveling east, still beating Neeks and other pests. Once the "No Rambi" sign is crossed, the heroes should go back to their original form and go across a very large gap in the ship. They can easily get across, though, but only with the aid of the floating hooks above, just as the first large abyss. As they move along on the hooks, they might find a barrel that can shoot them to the letter G, then onto another hook above a third large abyss. If they do not find this barrel, the Kongs must avoid a few enemies and then cross the next large gap. After that, they must move on and avoid some Neeks and Krushas. Finally, the apes should cross a small abyss and jump off of a spring leading out of the level.

Secrets

Bonus Level(s)

  • The first Bonus Level is located at the beginning of the level. The Kongs must climb to the top of the pile of barrels right next to the start of the level and jump into the Bonus Area. Here, they need to throw several treasure chests at a red Zinger and break them open. One contains the Kremkoin.
  • The second Bonus Barrel is near the end of the level. After the monkeys cross the big gap with the two hooks, they must grab the Invisibility Barrel, and then go to a huge pile of barrels with Krushas on them. The Kongs must make their way up, destroying every enemy in their path, and soon jump into the Bonus Barrel. If their invisibility wears off, or they never touch the Invisibility Barrel, it is difficult to get in this Bonus Level. In the Bonus Stage, the monkeys must swing hook-to-hook until they reach the Kremkoin.

DK Coin

  • The DK Coin is near the first Bonus Level. From where the barrel leading to it is, the Dixie Kong must flutter to the right, where she should grab onto a hook in the air. As she swings hook-to-hook, she finds the coin.

Golden Feather (GBA Only)

  • The Golden Feather is under the ship. To get there, the Kongs must go to the first gap in the level and have Dixie flutter down to the left, where she must go into a barrel. It shoots the apes through the inside of the ship, where they get three Banana Coins, some bananas, and the feather.

Bonus Level(s)

  • Unlike other Bonus Levels, the first Bonus Level grants the Kongs an easy shortcut through the level, instead of a Kremkoin. To find it, the monkeys must go backwards from the start of the level and jump on a pile of barrels. Nearby is a hook, which they must grab onto and jump to the following hook. Dixie Kong should then be used to flutter in the air, following the path of bananas. Eventually, she should reach a hidden Bonus Barrel. Here, the monkeys can simply grab some bananas and head out. They should then end up at the spring leading out of the level.
  • To find the second Bonus Level, the monkeys must start from the end of the level and go backwards to the last set of hooks over an abyss. If they drop down from the hook on the far left side, they should land right into the Bonus Barrel. There, the Kongs must defeat many enemies, including Neeks and Kremlings. When all the baddies are beat, the heroes are awarded with another Kremkoin.

DK Coin

  • Just like for the second Bonus Level, the Kongs must start from the end of the level, and then go backwards to the last set of hooks over a large abyss. They need to go to the hook second to the right and drop down. The two animals should fall into the DK Coin, and then fall into a barrel leading back to the ship.
