Template:Level Mainbrace Mayhem is the second level of the game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2; it is located on the Gangplank Galleon. It is the first rigging level of the game.

The Kongs will be introduced to two new enemies in this level; Click-Clacks and Klingers, as they climb their way to the top. Being an early level, it shouldn't give the Kongs all that much trouble. The enemies that return are Neeks and Klomps.

Level Layout

Donkey Kong Country 2

At the start of the level, the Kongs must go east and walk up across the ship's mast, where a rope is found. The monkeys should climb up and then travel west, avoiding a few enemies. A bunch of ropes will be at the end of the mast, and Diddy and Dixie must climb up on them to get the next part of the level, where the Kongs go east again. From there, they must climb across another group of ropes. There is a Klinger sliding on these ropes, so the monkeys should be careful. Afterward, they need to climb up a rope the a higher part of the ship's mast, where a Star Barrel is found.

Halfway through the level, they will have to move west, where a long line of Neeks are running around. The Kongs can easily beat them all if they throw the nearby barrel at them, which will roll the whole length of the mast and knock them all off. The monkeys then must go up to rope and go east where there will be a whole large group of ropes. They must carefully climb across them, without getting hit by a Klinger. When they are safely at the top of the next mast, the Kongs must simply travel west and jump on the next rope leading up. On the ropes, the are many Klingers, and the Kongs must carefully go east across all the ropes, trying not to get hit. Finally, the end of the level will be right at the end of the ropes, and the monkeys can finish the level.

Donkey Kong Land 2

From the start of the level, the Kongs must go east, jumping from mast-to-mast carefully. As they defeat enemies on the way, the monkeys will grab onto a rope and climb up to a higher mast on the ship, then move west. After they avoid more enemies, they must cling onto the next set of ropes to go even higher. Afterwords, they must go east again and run across the masts while defeating many more pests, such as Neeks. Once at a dead end, the Kongs must look the other way to find another large set of ropes to climb on. Eventually, the monkeys will climb across a lone rope and jump to the Star Barrel.

Halfway through the level, the two monkeys must jump on the mast northeast from the Star Barrel and move along. Once on the next mast, they must go west where a Kremling is. The animals must simply beat him and get onto another set of ropes nearby, while watching out for Klingers, who slide down the ropes to knock the Kongs off. When the monkeys are at the top, they will jump on the mast to their right and walk up it. They will soon come up to more ropes with Klingers on them. Carefully, the Kongs must climb up and then jump on the mast to the left. As they move along, they will pass some Krunchas and finally jump off a spring to the end of the level.

Bonus Levels

The first Bonus Level is near the very beginning of the level. Dixie Kong must be the monkey in the lead and look for a group of bananas making the shape of an arrow. She must then flutter off the mast and move through the air in the direction of the arrow, where she will see some ropes to climb on. To the right of the ropes is a Bonus Barrel, which she can go in. In the Bonus Level, Dixie and Diddy must climb up a series of ropes until they reach the Kremkoin and complete the Bonus Level.

The second Bonus Level is hidden in a cannon. Right where the Star Barrel is found, the monkeys must pick up a cannonball and carry it across the mast. At the end of the mast, there is a cannon. When they put the ball in the cannon, it will glow, meaning that they can go in it. The cannon will shoot them into the Bonus Level, where they will beat some Klingers who are sliding on ropes above the Kongs. The two monkeys must use the crates and cannonballs around them to kill all the baddies. Afterward, the Kremkoin will appear, and they will win the Bonus Level.

The final Bonus Level is on a ship mast far west of the end of the level. The Kongs must use their Team-up move to reach the barrel. Once in the Bonus Level, the monkeys must climb up and down some ropes, collecting many stars. Once all the stars are collected, the Kremkoin will appear and they will beat the Bonus Level.

DK Coin

This DK Coin is hidden above the level's exit. The Kongs may use their Team-up move to reach it, as jumping won't make them go high enough. Also, they can get the coin if they travel on the ship's mast that is east of the third Bonus Barrel.

Golden Feather (GBA Only)

To find the Golden Feather, the Kongs must be on the group of ropes where the letter O is found. West of that letter icon, there is a hidden mast. The monkeys must jump on the mast. There will be two Banana Coins, and in between them is the Golden Feather.

Bonus Level(s)

Starting from the Star Barrel, the Kongs must climb east up to a nearby mast, which is crooked. As they go up, they must jump on to the next, still going in the same direction. Once near the end of that mast, the monkeys must jump down to the rope under them. There are some bananas to the left, which they need to jump to. As they fall, the Kongs will land in the Bonus Barrel. In the Bonus Level, they must move across several ropes, collecting twenty stars on their way. When all the objects are obtained, a Kremkoin will appear from the monkeys to get.

DK Coin

Starting from the letter O, the Kongs must jump down from the mast and get on the ropes below. While watching out for Klingers, they should see the DK Coin to the right. The monkeys must simply jump off the rope to grab it, then landing on the mast below.
