The Koopinator

The Koopinator, also known as the Razor Blade Brigadier, is a Dark Koopatrol that fights in the Glitz Pit in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He was impressed as Mario climbed the ranks in the Glitz Pit and couldn't wait to battle him. He has a sense of honor and adheres to a strict training regime, probably based on the ancient Japanese samurai warriors. If beaten he will hold a huge grudge against Mario, vowing to one day defeat him.
The Koopinator is ranked first in the Glitz Pit, before Mario beats him. Afterwards, he drops to second, but he may drop to third if Chomp Country beat him. It is unknown why Chomp Country are able to beat him after Mario does, but not before - maybe his defeat to Mario lowers his confidence, thus making it easier for the Red Chomps to defeat him.

Trivia
- The Koopinator's name is a reference to the Terminator from the multimedia franchise of the same name. Another Mario series allusion to the Terminator is the Plumbinator, a robo suit from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.
