Blasta Mechakoopas are a variant of Mechakoopas that first appear in Super Mario Maker 2. They are red and pink colored versions of standard Mechakoopas that fire homing Bull's-Eye Bill-like missiles from their mouths. These missiles explode shortly after being launched, which are capable of destroying blocks and defeating enemies. A similar enemy, the Zappa Mechakoopa, appears alongside them in the game's 3.0.0 update. In the nighttime ground theme, they gain rocket boosters, and can fly for a short period of time, like their normal and Zappa variants.

As with their normal and Zappa counterparts, Blasta Mechakoopas do not appear in the Super Mario 3D World game style.

In the Super Mario Mash-up in Minecraft, Zoglins are replaced with Blasta Mechakoopas. Their design is altered to resemble Mecha-Bowsers from Super Mario Galaxy.
