Flitters are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They behave identically in both games. Flitters are aerial enemies always found flying in midair. Some Flitters remain in their current position, other ones fly endlessly to the left, and few even circle around an item they are guarding. There are a few instances where a couple of Flitters are sorted in a long line, such as at the end of Bramble Scramble or in one of Topsail Trouble's Bonus Levels, and the Kongs can bounce from them to cross areas that they cannot do alone. Flitters can be defeated either from being jumped on, being hit by a projectile, or from the effects of the Invincibility Barrel.

DK series

Flitters are enemies in DK: King of Swing and DK: Jungle Climber. A charge attack or a Going Bananas move can defeat a Flitter, as jumping on it is ineffective.

Unused appearances

Some Flitters appear in the trailer for the canceled Donkey Kong Racing, during the part where the logo is displayed.
