Koopa The Quick

Koopa The Quick is a Gargantuan Koopa that Mario must race for a Power Star in Super Mario 64. He also appears in Super Mario 64 DS. According to what he says, his home, which fits his size, is the Huge Island. The secret to his speed is his Supa Troopa Koopa sneakers (from the Shells Inc co.).

Il Piantissimo, a foot-racer in Super Mario Sunshine, plays a similar role to Koopa the quick except Mario had to race him in most levels and that Piantissimo ran and jumped the same way Mario does. Later in Super Mario Galaxy, Spooky Speedster and Cosmic Mario both get a similar role to Koopa the Quick and Il Piantissimo.

  • Koopa The Quick was a beta character in Mario Super Sluggers, alongside a new character called Koopa Der Sluggish.
  • Shiguera Montyamu said that the picture of a Koopa's face in the Baby Park was actually Koopa The Quick's face.
