The Drafting Table was an activity that was part of the Lab Flash game on the Luigi's Mansion microsite on Nintendo's North American website.[1] This section of the lab serves as Professor Elvin Gadd's workshop where makes his inventions to catch ghosts. However, the main attraction is for the player to create their own masterpiece with "creepy colouring-in templates". There is also a photo album laying on the desk with some ghosts enjoying their vacations at different countries far from the mansion.

Gameplay

The desk is the place where Professor E. Gadd works on his inventions in catching ghosts. This section has two activities for the player. The first are the introduction of colouring-in templates with which the player could create "masterpieces" of their own. The player has to click on the monitor to access to these colouring-in templates. However, doing so only opens a website without a link on it, literally leading to nothing, leaving ambiguous how the colouring-in templates activity was. There exists an old website called "Luigi's Mansion Spook-E-Cards" which consists in Luigi's Mansion-themed e-cards with characters like Luigi, E. Gadd, Gold Ghost and a Boo. Since Luigi's e-card is the one the screen displays in the desk, this could be the website the flash game was meant to direct.

The second activity is a photo album that shows some of the mansion's ghosts spending some time at different places in the world, with some expressing different feelings about their experiences outside the mansion. Some of these ghosts include:

The final photo of the album shows everyone coming back to the mansion. Similar to other games in the lab, after a few moments of inactivity, a Purple Puncher passes by and messes with the text making it almost unintelligible.

Trivia

  • Biff Atlas is the only portrait ghost shown in this portion of the lab, with the other being Madame Clairvoya in her own section.
