World 5 (New Super Mario Bros. 2)

World 5 is the fifth normal world in New Super Mario Bros. 2. It has a sky and mountain theme, and the levels are either in the sky or on a mountain. The map music is the same as World 7 from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This world is unlocked once the player completes World 4-Castle or World Flower-Castle. The boss of this world is Ludwig von Koopa.

World 5-Rainbow

World 5-1

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: After the blue block with white dots, there are Brick Blocks that circulates around the first Star Coin. The player should use the rope to jump high and stand on the blocks to get the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: After the Checkpoint Flag, the player should notice the Star Coin located inside a robe enclosure. The player should stand above the Star Coin until Mario loses his balance and falls onto the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: After Star Coin 2, the player should notice a rope high above the next blue block. The player needs to use a Raccoon Leaf in order to fly up to the rope. The player should then jump between the two coins to reveal a hidden ? Block with a Beanstalk inside. After climbing up, the player should then jump on the Koopa Paratroopas to get the Star Coin.

Secret Exit

After Star Coin 2, the player should notice a rope high above the next blue block. The player needs to use a Raccoon Leaf in order to fly up to the rope. The player should then jump between the two coins to reveal a hidden ? Block with a Beanstalk inside. After climbing up, the player should then jump on the Koopa Paratroopas to reach a rope on the right. The player should jump up on the rope to reveal another Beanstalk. This will lead the player to the Secret Exit, which will unlock World 5-Ghost House.

World 5-3

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: At the checkpoint flag, the player should notice three Warp Pipes. The player should enter the Warp Pipe on the right to be launched into the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: At the checkpoint flag, the player should notice three Warp Pipes. The player should enter the Warp Pipe in the middle to be launched up to a secret area. The player should stand on the ? Block and jump up to reveal a hidden ? block containing a Mini Mushroom. The player should use the Mini Mushroom to jump across the Mini Pipes to reach a Cannon Pipe. The player should then enter the Cannon Pipe to be launched to the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: Before the end of the level, the player has to jump across five Warp Pipes to reach the Flagpole. If the player enters the middle Warp Pipe, they will be launched to the third Star Coin.

This stage contains many Cannons.

At the Boss Room, Mario or Luigi must ride the cannon. Then when they fight Ludwig, he hovers to a rope. Whichever rope he goes to, blast him with the cannon pointing at that rope. Blast him 3 times and he is defeated.
