Robirdo is a huge robotic version of Birdo in the game Super Mario Advance, replacing Mouser as the boss of World 3-3. Robirdo has three attacks in battle. The first attack is a classic Birdo attack - shooting eggs from its mouth. This attack is the only way to kill it. The second attack is only used once Robirdo has been damaged - a ground pound attack that immobilises and damages the player. This is immediately followed by its third attack, which is charging directly towards the player. This attack would be almost impossible to dodge, if it weren't for those seven chains hanging from the ceiling. The player can use them to avoid this attack. The charge also follows the egg attack.

The only way to damage this boss is throw giant eggs at it. However, as these eggs are so large, it takes quite some time to pick them up successfully, and unfortunately this gives time for Robirdo to use its charge attack. After picking up the egg, it is advised that the player quickly gets out of the way and throw it at Robirdo. After being hit five times, Robirdo surrenders and the player gains access to World 4.

Trivia

  • Robirdo is a portmanteau of "Robot" and "Birdo".
  • Robirdo's ground pound was likely inspired by the first boss battle of Donkey Kong '94. However, the player can avoid this on the chains or on Robirdo's head.
  • Robirdo speaks with a robotic version of the regular Birdo's voice. One of Birdo's quotes, "How could you?!", is also said by Robirdo in said voice.
  • It is unknown whether or not Robirdo is a sentient being, or of it's a mech that the actual Birdo is controlling from the inside, in a similar manner to Magnus Von Grapple and Brobot.
  • Interestingly, once Robirdo is on two HP, every time it uses the charge attack, its head changes rapidly from normal face to damaged face.
