Template:Level Hot-Head Hop is the sixth level of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. It is the first area of Crocodile Cauldron.

The level takes place inside a volcano, and the Kongs must use Krocheads as stepping stones in order to cross rivers of lava. This level also marks Squitter's first appearance, and he'll prove himself useful for reaching and completing bonus areas, as well as the DK Coin. Klampons make their debut here as well. Other enemies include Neeks, Klobbers, Zingers and Krunchas.

Bonus Level(s)

Near the start of the level Diddy and Dixie will find a place with a raised piece of ground, on it is a Klampom and a treasure chest, the same is below it, inside the above chest is a canon ball, carrying it along over some Krocheads will reach a cannon throw in the ball and then jump in your self to be fired into the first bonus room.

Towards the end a couple of Klampons will come towards Diddy or Dixie with a Bonus Barrel in plain view above them. Squitter's web ability is needed to reach it and once in it, Diddy or Dixie are launched to the second bonus room.

Trivia

  • A golden boom box or golden guitar can be obtained briefly in this level (Boom box for Diddy, guitar for Dixie). All that must be done is to not pass the "No Animal Buddy" sign with Squitter. Then, they need to simply jump on the Krochead near the end of the level and land on the ending pad. Dixie or Diddy will celebrate with a gold boom box or guitar.
