Hotel manager, Super Mario Sunshine

The hotel manager,[1][2] also called the hotel proprietor,[3] or simply the manager,[4] is a white-mustached, pink Pianta who manages Hotel Delfino, along with two small huts, on Sirena Beach in Super Mario Sunshine. He is the only Pianta who wears shoes. Hotel Delfino comes under attack during The Manta Storm episode when the Phantamanta engulfs Sirena Beach in electric goop, covering the hotel and plunging it underground. The manager orders his staff to begin cleaning up the mess, but he also convinces Mario to aid him. Once Mario has cleared the beach and the hotel of the goop, the hotel reemerges and a Shine Sprite pops out. Throughout the remaining episodes, the hotel manager encounters a number of other issues, ranging from Boos haunting various parts of Hotel Delfino to Shadow Mario terrorizing the guests and vandalizing the hotel; he requests Mario's aid in solving each of these problems. The manager is not always forthcoming, sometimes requesting Mario's help in indirect or roundabout ways, but he is nonetheless always appreciative of Mario's assistance.

In the Versus Books guide, the hotel manager is seemingly erroneously referred to as the Mayor,[5] a position held by a different character in Pianta Village.[6][7]

In the Super Mario Mash-up in Minecraft, Blacksmith Villagers are reskinned to share the appearance of the hotel manager.
