Super Whirl Jump in the game Super Mario Sunshine.
Mario swinging around a tightrope
“Let's say you find yourself hanging from a rope... Shoot just a little water, and you'll start to swing, right? Well, if you have good timing, and you do that several times... you'll start spinning around the rope. I swear, it's true! Then, if you let loose with a full stream of water... you'll gain crazy momentum, which you can use to jump! Yeah! That's what I like to call the Super Whirl Jump! You can go amazingly far with it. Truly. It's incredible! Don't ask me why I know this. I don't really know myself...”
Pianta, Super Mario Sunshine

The Super Whirl Jump is a special move that can be performed by Mario in Super Mario Sunshine. When Mario is hanging from a tightrope, he can use FLUDD to shoot some water. Mario then starts to swing slowly. If he shoots more water with good timing, he will start swinging around the rope. If Mario lets loose when the player presses A Button, he will jump forward with high momentum. The player can hold B Button to let Mario stop swinging around the rope before he jumps.

While difficult to control, this move can allow Mario to reach the platforms near Hillside Cave in Bianco Hills or to reach the platforms high near where Petey Piranha was in Episode 5, Petey Piranha Strikes Back, of Bianco Hills. It can also be used to collect a diagonal line of coins high above Gelato Beach, by using the Super Whirl Jump from a high-altitude tightrope located on the left side of the cliffs behind the beach.
