An Egg Bomb is a projectile weapon that can be used as an ingredient or be created from a recipe. It appears as an egg with a lit fuse on the top and it is made by cooking an Egg and a Fire Flower.

It first appears in Paper Mario, where it is referred to as an Egg Missile. It can be cooked by Tayce T. and it deals 6 points of fire/explosion damage to one enemy when used. Its explosive power is mentioned in a postcard from Tayce T., who says that it blew her away the first time she made it.

The Egg Bomb returns in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with its current name and a striped appearance. It can be cooked by Zess T. and has the same ability as it did in the previous game. In Super Paper Mario, it can be cooked by Dyllis from Flopside. The effects of the item are different, as it deals damage to all enemies on-screen and only deals 1 damage to each of them.

Trivia

  • Due to a glitch, using the Double Dip ability with this item during the Lava Piranha boss fight causes the game to crash. This also happens in the Jr. Troopa playground fight, though in that case, glitches are required to access the fight with the Double Dip badge.[1]
