This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

Template:Level Lightning Lookout is the thirty-third level in the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. It is also the third area of KAOS Kore. In the game's Game Boy Advance remake, the level is instead the thirty-ninth level, though still the third area of the world.

In this riverside level, lightning will shoot down at the ground, as if it were purposely in the Kongs' path. Before it strikes, there will be a warning flash above the spot where it will hit. If the Kongs are in the water and lighting strikes it, they can get fried. The Kongs can use the lightning to their advantage, however, and let it destroy their enemies if they're clever enough. As the level progresses, the lightning will to strike faster, causing more havoc for the Kongs. To make matters worse, the level is filled with the villainous enemies, Buzzes, yellow Knik-Knaks and Booty Birds. A few red Knik-Knaks and a Nibbla also appear in one of the level's Bonus Areas.

Bonus Levels

  1. After the letter O, the heroes will see a small poll of water. If they jump into it and hover to the bottom of the area, they will land in a Bonus Barrel. It will take them to a Bonus Level, where they will need to hop on several Knik-Knaks to cross a small pond, occupied by a Nibbla. If they beat all the insects safely, they will find a Bonus Coin nearby.
  2. Around the end of the level, the Kongs will cross a body of water with some bobbing barrels. Above them, they will see a Bonus Barrel in plain sight. Using their Team-up move, one of the Kongs, Kiddy in particular, should throw a monkey into the barrel. It will transport both heroes into a Bonus Level. There, they will have to collect many green bananas around the area, while avoiding constant lightning strikes. After they safely collect all the bananas, they will find a Bonus Coin at the other side of the stage.

DK Coin

  1. After the Kongs spot the second Booty Bird, they should stand under it and wait for a lightning strike. The lightning will strike the bird, causing it to drop a steel keg. Picking up the keg, the monkeys will have to head down the path to a Koin, who will have the DK Coin. Though the enemy's shield will protect him from most attacks, the monkeys can throw the steel keg while standing on him to make it bounce off of a nearby wall. When the keg bounces back, it will hit the distracted enemy. This will knock him out, thus giving the Kongs the DK Coin.
