Roller Coasters[1] (also known as cars)[2] are objects in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. These large carts are shaped like skulls, with large red or light-green gems in their eye sockets. Roller Coasters can be considered the successors of the Mine Carts from Donkey Kong Country. Klanks ride these vehicles in some of the amusement park stages.

History[edit]

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[edit]

Roller Coasters appear in three levels of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. In Target Terror, Diddy and Dixie have to frequently hop between Roller Coasters before the objects fall into a pit. Roller Coasters also appear in Rickety Race, where the Kongs must race and defeat several Klanks. Roller Coasters make their last appearance in Haunted Hall, where the Kongs ride on a Roller Coaster during a pursuit from the Kackles.

Donkey Kong Land 2[edit]

Roller Coasters retain their purpose in Donkey Kong Land 2, and they also appear in three levels. Their first two appearances are in the level counterparts, Target Terror and Rickety Race. Their third and final appearance is in Krazy Koaster, where the Kongs use a Roller Coaster to race to the end.
