Chimp Caverns is the sixth and final world in Donkey Kong Country. It is a large cavern area located in the eye area of Donkey Kong Island, occurring just before the final battle at Gang-Plank Galleon. Chimp Caverns features several mining areas, including one filled with mist, but does not have industrialization to the extent of the previous world. There is a pond at the bottom, though no levels feature an underwater environment because of a bridge above it. Chimp Caverns looks more volcanic in the second remake, indicated by the cracked rocks and no pond; furthermore, it has Mine Carts on a track adjacent to Funky's Fishing, and Cranky's Hut is located on a rocky structure.
The Cave world from Donkey Kong Country Returns is thematically similar and has been suggested to be the same location.[1]
