Whispy Woods is a commonly-recurring tree character from the Kirby series. He has made some appearances in the Super Mario franchise, including the Club Nintendo magazine. and Super Mario-kun.

History

Club Nintendo magazine

Whispy Woods makes a short appearance in the Club Nintendo comic "Super Mario: Mario im Wunderland." He is the first creature Mario encounters in Wunderland when he accidentally gets there. He does not serve as an enemy here, though; rather he advises Mario to go to Crab, a wizard who is able to fulfill desires.

Super Mario-kun

In volume 7 of Super Mario-kun, Whispy Woods makes a cameo in one panel, apparently among the "items" stolen by the collector.

New Famicom commercial

Whispy Woods appears in a commercial for the New Famicom alongside several other characters. He and the others are later joined by Wario and Link.
