Finishing Bros. is a special move performed by Mario and Giant Luigi as the final attack to defeat a giant boss in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
When the HP bar of the boss is nearly depleted, it flashes yellow, and the menu only gives the option to use this attack. When it is used, the player must swipe up on the Touch Screen to make Giant Luigi leap into space, where he grabs a star. Mario then hops onto the star, followed by Giant Luigi throwing it towards the weakened boss. While Mario and the star dive into the boss, the player can tilt the Nintendo 3DS to align the star-shaped cursor with the boss's weak point. Bosses stagger or otherwise rock back and forth, shifting the position of the weak point. The boss is defeated no matter how the player aims. Missing the weak point results an "OK!" attack, small gift drops, and a lower coin reward. A direct hit results in a final blow with "Excellent!!" hit effect, and the game will show three "replays" of the impact. The player will receive larger gifts.
This move does not fully defeat Bowser during his giant battle. For that fight's final phase, Finishing Bros. is replaced by Star Driver. The same is true against Bowser X.
