The Sergeant Guy Cannon is a Banzai Bill Cannon used by Sergeant Guy during Mario's battle against the Elite Trio in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. It does not appear in the overworld. In combat, the cannon hangs in the back of the enemy formation, behind the main trio. Its role in battle is to have a Banzai Bill loaded into it by Sergeant Guy to shoot at Mario the following turn. If Mario does not attack the cannon, the Banzai Bill fires and pursues Mario while Private Goomp brings his minions out of the way; the player has to repeatedly press the 3DS button to escape the Banzai Bill. If the escape is successful, Sergeant Guy will get hit instead, recovering from his daze if he had any health left; otherwise, one of his comrades (either Corporal Paraplonk or Private Goom) will revive him. If Mario jumps on the cannon before it can fire, the Banzai Bill explodes, causing massive damage to the Elite Trio and the active horde of Sub-Goombas. The cannon cannot be attacked if a Banzai Bill is not loaded in. When the Mario Bros. defeat Guy, Paraplonk, and Goomp, the cannon vanishes and is not seen for the rest of the game.

If Mario does not attack the cannon, the Banzai Bill fires and pursues Mario while Private Goomp brings his minions out of the way; the player has to repeatedly press the A Button button to escape the Banzai Bill. If the escape is successful, Sergeant Guy will get hit instead, recovering from his daze if he had any health left; otherwise, one of his comrades (either Corporal Paraplonk or Private Goomp) will revive him.
