Bachelor is a member of the Brothers Bear who appears exclusively in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3. He lives on an island in the middle of Lake Orangatanga, named Bachelor Pad. Barnacle was on the island in the original release, but he was relocated to Pacifica. In the game, Bachelor is preparing for his date. This explains his name's derivation from "bachelor", a term which describes an unmarried man.
History
Dixie and Kiddy can swim to Bachelor Pad after they complete the level Doorstop Dash. Upon first entering, they are greeted by Bachelor, who is eagerly awaiting his upcoming "hot date". However, he wants to present his girlfriend with a rose and a box of chocolates. Bachelor requests that the Kongs find both items. In addition, he gives them a Flupperius Petallus Pongus, a flower he finds no use for. The Kongs can exchange this flower to Bramble for a rose, and the box of chocolates can be bought from Bazaar's General Store for twenty bear coins.
When the Kongs provide Bachelor with the two items, he happily rewards them with a Banana Bird.
