Template:More images Template:Species-infobox Mega Spike is a larger variant of the Spike that first appears in Mario Sports Superstars.
Appearances
Mario Sports Superstars
A Mega Spike appears as a boss in the Road to Superstar mode, hopping around, dropping Giant Spiked Balls and Brick Blocks from the sky, while also dropping down on a amiibo card, stunning it for some time. When it reaches half health, it targets the amiibo cards more fiercely, sometimes by surprise.
Super Mario Maker 2
Mega Spikes later make an appearance in Super Mario Maker 2's version 2.0, being created by enlarging Spikes with a Super Mushroom. They act the same as their normal counterparts, expect they throw Giant Spiked Balls. (Giant Snowballs in the snow-themed levels)
