The players must deplete Petey's health by shooting bombs at him. Every successful hit gives the shooter a point. During the battle, Petey will periodically open his mouth - any shots fired at this point will be swallowed harmlessly. After Petey closes his mouth, he will spit any swallowed projectiles back to their shooters, making them lose one point per bomb. Petey will telegraph this defense by leaning forward as the players shoot him - at this point, it's best to cease fire and wait for him to close his mouth. After a successful counterattack, Petey may also dance for a moment, leaving him vulnerable to attack. | [[File:Mario Party 10 Petey Piranha.png|thumb|left|The minigame at E3]]The players must deplete Petey's health by shooting bombs at him. Template:Newsubject Template:Minigame-infobox Petey's Bomb Battle is a boss minigame that appears in Mario Party 10. Found at the end of Mushroom Park, it pits players against Petey Piranha.
Intro
The players are manning color-coded cannons in a small plaza near a pool. Suddenly, Petey drops from the sky, only to slow his descent by flapping his leaves. He lands on a raised dais on the other end of the plaza and roars at the players, beginning the minigame.
Gameplay
The players must deplete Petey's health by shooting bombs at him. Every successful hit gives the shooter a point. During the battle, Petey will periodically open his mouth - any shots fired at this point will be swallowed harmlessly. After Petey closes his mouth, he will spit any swallowed projectiles back to their shooters, making them lose one point per bomb. Petey will telegraph this defense by leaning forward as the players shoot him - at this point, it's best to cease fire and wait for him to close his mouth. After a successful counterattack, Petey may also dance for a moment, leaving him vulnerable to attack.
When Petey loses half of his health, he becomes angry and intensifies the battle. He opens his mouth much more frequently than before, and also tries to fake players out by leaning forward repeatedly before actually opening his mouth. On top of this, any players who shoot bombs into Petey's mouth will lose one extra point from a final bomb that Petey spits out after their "reflected" shots.
The final shot (the one that takes down Petey) is worth a bonus of five points. The player with the most points wins. Petey falls down onto the floor before disappearing into white clouds after being defeated.
