The Shell is an item that appears in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. The only purpose for the item is to complete a trade.

Bazaar finds the Shell at the bottom of Lake Orangatanga, who then puts it on sale at his general store for five Bear Coins. If the Kongs purchase it, they may present it to Barnacle, who needs it for his collection. Barnacle trades the Kongs his Banana Bird in exchange for the Shell. Template:BoxTop
