Parry the Parallel Bird is an Animal Buddy in the Donkey Kong series who first appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Parry is a small yellow bird with a blue head and a white neck-stripe; his blue wing-feathers are tipped with red, and his tail slightly resembles that of a real-world Quetzal.

In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, Parry cannot be ridden like other Animal Buddies, but instead perfectly mimics Dixie and Kiddy Kong's moves(hence the term "parallel"); in this way, he can be used to grab out-of-the-way items. Getting Parry to the No Animal Sign will usually earn the Kongs a large reward, such as a Bonus Barrel or a blue Life Balloon, but can be difficult because the only enemy he can safely touch are Booty Birds.
